"This house was perfect for our Girls Weekend at Hickory Point. We enjoyed the beautiful porches, the deck, the dock and the great kitchen. What a wonderful way to unplug, unwind and forget the rest of the world! We didn't watch or listen to news the whole time. One gal commented that the whole world could be burning down behind us and we wouldn't even know it!! Great fun was had."

"I didn't expect it to be as remote as it was, but it was exactly what I didn't know I needed. A place to unwind. I caught bluebcrabs, spotted trout, drum, flounder, and even hooked (but not for long) a shark. And that was all without even getting in a boat. I saw a black bear, a bobcat, and turkeys on the road right outside the property when heading out for groceries around 5 pm. The sunrises were an intense tropical orange color that i haven't seen before; worth getting up at 5 for on a day...

"My wife and I have been coming to Hyde County for years to hunt and fish, this cottage suitet us just fine. Perfect location and an added bonus having fresh oysters just across the road. Quiet and well appointed and cozy enough for 5 guests. Owner is quick to answer if there are problems and very nice. We will be back next year, God willing."
