Featured on the Palm Springs Modernism Week Home Tour, this architectural gem combines its classic midcentury pedigree with modern updates for today's lifestyle. Guests will love the private saltwater pool and spa, two dramatic fire features, and spectacular mountain views — all framed by signature walls of glass. With its resort-style amenities and playful touches, this three-bedroom retreat is designed for relaxation, style, and fun in the desert sunshine. Beds: K, Q, K (can convert to T/T). OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES This backyard is the ultimate Palm Springs playground. The heated saltwater pool and spa take center stage, surrounded by lounge chairs, shade umbrellas, and a hammock perfect for lazy afternoons. The outdoor kitchen includes a built-in barbecue, serving counter, and ice chest, making it easy to host poolside meals. Dine under the covered pavilion or gather in the outdoor living room, anchored by a striking two-level fire feature that sets the mood after dark. The backyard also offers a rolling lawn area, an outdoor shower, and breathtaking mountain views. Step through sliding glass doors into the converted game room with ping pong and extra hangout space, keeping the fun going all day and night. ** The pool will be heated upon request with an additional service fee. The living room is comfortably furnished with a spacious midcentury-inspired sectional, a vintage Elvis movie poster, and a 55" 4K television paired with premium Martin Logan speakers. Guests can stream music through Pandora or internet radio and enjoy cinematic sound while relaxing indoors. The dining area and kitchen flow effortlessly together, creating a social hub for shared meals, cocktails, and conversation. SLEEPING QUARTERS Each bedroom has been thoughtfully styled with hotel-quality mattresses, crisp linens, flat-screen TVs, and ample storage. The primary suite offers a king bed, an ensuite bath, and a private courtyard patio with direct pool access. The second bedroom has a queen bed with easy access to the hall bath. The third bedroom includes a king bed that can be converted into two twin beds upon request, providing flexible accommodations for families or groups. Perfect Girl's Weekend

A few of my girlfriends from college stayed at this precious place over the weekend. It was beautiful inside/out, close to town and an easy uber ride anywhere we needed to go. We all highly recommend this stay. We can't wait to come back!

A truly great property and very well managed - everything worked and the kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor space was amazing - the pool and hot tub were clean and worked perfectly. Impressively decorated - we would come back in a heartbeat!

Best Thanksgiving Ever!

My family loved every minute of our Thanksgiving week getaway!! The house was everything we expected and had been hoping for. The neighborhood was so quiet and safe feeling. The hiking was so close and beautiful along with the amazing backyard! I would highly recommend this location if you travel to Palm Springs!

Wonderful stylish oasis!

What a great find! The pool was a fantastic temperature and the spa got HOT! The house was perfect - decor was super fun and everything felt crisp and clean. This is our new go-to-spot in Palm Springs. BTW, visitors, check out the farmers market on Saturday - terrific produce.

Mellow Yellow Butterfly for Stagecoach

The property was the perfect size for four guests. The mountain views are spectacular. House was clean and well equipped. Barbecue grill came in handy. Pool and hot tub were just what was needed pre and post Stagecoach. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to Palm Springs shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay at Mellow Yellow Butterfly again.

The house was lovely. Backyard was great, all kids wanted to was swim.

It all went very well. 3:00 pm check in was a bit late. You can pay to check in earlier but we chose not to.

Ok but pool was dirty

Pool was overly dirty from palm tree pollen and leaves. Of course not entirely under the properties control, but additional cleaning of the pool prior to arrival would have helped.

Very Mellow Yellow

Our family had a great stay at the Mellow Yellow Butterfly House. We came to Palm Springs to unwind and get out of the PA cold. The house had everything we needed to do just that. The backyard was perfect. The property ticked all the boxes for an authentic Mid mod house.

Mellow Yellow is a gem!

We had a wonderful relaxing week with another couple at Mellow Yellow. The house is a tribute to mid century modern design and furnishings, complete with a Shag print. The outdoor areas are plentiful and the pool and hot tub were pristine. The house was fully stocked with dishes for inside and out, even though we ate at all of the fabulous PS restaurants. This house was even better than advertised -- we highly recommend!

Super Cute and Well Appointed

Super cute and well appointed mid century home in a desirable location close to everything. Check in process super easy and communication was clear. The house is very clean exactly as it appears in the listing. Nice TV and sound system with turntable and some fun vinyl. Pool and hot tub were clean and delightful. And, critical for winter in Palm Springs, the pool was heated with no surcharge or extra steps to heat it every day. Walk out and swim, even on brisk mornings. We'd rent this place again in a heartbeat.

Had a wonderful time with our young children here. It has everything you need, and the pool and backyard with covered dining table and hammock are outstanding. This is our second time at this property, and we would be glad to return again!

Exactly What We Needed

This place is amazing! Great decor, the kitchen is well-appointed, and the location is perfect. We cook a lot so having all the bells and whistles was great. They went beyond when stocking the kitchen with gadgets and applicances. The backyard was great. The pool was shaded for some of the day which was really nice. Who does not love the Palm Springs sign on the back of the house?! The garage is air-conditioned for a great game of ping pong too. The property management company was flexible and communicated very well. We come out every year and we loved this house!

The Perfect Escape!

What a fun, relaxing and rejuvenating stay we had at the Mellow Yellow. The house is very welcoming, bright, clean, and happy feeling. Upon arrival we threw off our shoes and headed out the the beautiful yard for a dip in the pool. Heaven. My 9 and 12 year old boys were very happy and entertained for our whole stay. The ping pong table was a nice extra! My family really loved the decor. You feel like you're in a different time and really adds to the getaway feeling. You can even use the record player. The house has everything you will need, the kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfy. This place does not disappoint. Enjoy!
