What started as a normal stay quickly turned uncomfortable due to poor communication and questionable handling of a situation that didn’t warrant escalation. Instead of resolving things professionally, the response felt abrupt and unnecessary, leaving a bad impression overall. Not the kind of hospitality you expect when booking a place to relax. My stay at Barefoot Inn was wonderful! You check in at the Swiss hotel next door and the owner, Sabina was so wonderful! We have the same name so that was 😊! She is so friendly and lovely!! Barefoot Inn was really nice to stay in for two nights. It was clean, warm, colorful and inviting. Bed was comfortable. Sheets and pillows were really nice and very clean. Room was stocked with towels as was the bathroom. Kitchen has everything you'd need, cups, plates, coffee, tea, there is a TV in the living room downstairs. it's walking distance to many of the Embassies in Ottawa so if you are coming to do any kind of consular business like passport renewal it's perfect. I also walked to the Parliament hill, then over the Alexandra bridge to Gatineau,QC. So it's at a great location.
