"The Red House was an excellent place to stay. Otricoli and the surrounding area are just a short walk away, which means you can leave the car at home. The house was very clean and tidy, but remember to buy and place some ant traps if having insects around the place bothers you :) All in all, a top 5 star house and an excellent host"

( but check ticket prices as it varies enormously depending on the train) Lake Bolsena, Orvieto, Todi, Spoleto, Bagnoregio and Cascade del Marmore are all easily reached by car. "Property was large enough but the pool which we booked specifically for grandkids was really dirty and unusable until 3rd/4th day and was only there for a week. There was a dog and cat there left there, and anothet xat climbed in through window and hid under kids bed until night time that yhen jumped out and scared them. "We added a 3rd day to our stay. The location just a bit east of Sutri is ideal for visiting Etruscan sites, though Google Maps complicated our arrival, suggesting we needed to drive kilometers past the hotel and then approach from the east. We stayed for the great service but encourage anyone who wants to discover a beautiful, less visited part of Italy to enjoy this area and all it offers making this comfortable property your base. And do yourself another favor by eating dinner at the hotel at least one night."
