"You should know that in this "hotel" you have to do everything yourself including cleaning the bathroom, make your own bed, broom and clean floors and take out trash that is 5 min walk from your apartment. In addition bring your own shower gel and shampoo as it's not provided either. When leaving you need to take your sheets with you and take it to their laundry. Zero service is provided. "

"Second time at Les Cottages du Lac. The cottages are great and well equipped, so quiet and nice private garden to have outdoor dining, you can rent a bbq hot plate. The lake beach is a few mins walk with local playground and lots of water sports but the lake was polluted this week so we couldn’t swim in it. Nearest swimming lake nearby is 25mins at Sanguenet - beautiful! The food at the restaurant is very good but we found this year they are not as flexible as they used to be at dinner time....

"Very close to the beach but definitely not worth the 100€ per night considering the fact that the water in the shower didn’t drain - we had to wipe up the water with a mop every time afterwards and worse, the hosts even blamed our dog’s hair although it didn’t drain right from the start when our dog hadn’t even entered the shower yet (which we told them)! It was also very difficult to turn the keys of the doors (and again they blamed us to have broken it) and to find a parking lot....

"House was well equipped, all we needed. A cosy and warm atmosphere and a short distance to the beach. Good place to make day trips in the surrounding. The host was supportive and replied quickly for questions. "

La maison etait agréable mais debut mai pas de piscine , pas de possibilités extérieure. Il n y avait pas le Jaccuzi ou bain bouillonnant. Dommage 😥😢😢. Nous avons exposé l idée de le couvrir afin d en profiter toute l année. Personnellement, il y aurait été, on en airait profité. Le Propriétaire etait Super Sympa. Ce week-end de 3 jours...

"We had an excellent week with two families sharing the barn. There is plenty of room for 10 people, with a great pool, table tennis and good size garden. Mimizan is 5 minutes in the car with everything you might need. The beach is about 10 minutes drive with sand for miles in both directions. The area is very flat and forested and would be great for biking. Definitely recommended."

Tout était impeccable : la propreté irréprochable, les équipements complets et fonctionnels, et une attention portée à chaque détail pour rendre notre séjour agréable. "If you arrive by car in the dark then its not easy to see the driveway to the Reception nor where you can actually park. You have to go in and ask! Very friendly and informative staff so first class in that respect. Room was fine and good enough but noisy smoking neighbours in next room on the adjoining balcony. Restaurant staff great. Usual disappointing menu but typical french fayre and they still dont know what a well done steak is! "

The lake beach is a few mins walk with local playground and lots of water sports but the lake was polluted this week so we couldn’t swim in it. Nearest swimming lake nearby is 25mins at Sanguenet - beautiful! The food at the restaurant is very good but we found this year they are not as flexible as they used to be at dinner time. Friday and Saturday nights were fully booked with no take away service. It would have been nice to have been offered to book dinner when we arrived but the food at Pipiou restaurant was good also,5min walk and we recommend Hotel Lakeside for dinner also (10min walk). However when we did eat there it was delicious with great service. There is a two hour window for lunch 12-2 but if you miss that they have a good panini and crepe menu to offer. Also the Reception team are v helpful. Make sure you book any taxis in advance. You can easily rent bikes down by the lake by the hour/day/week. A great family resort."
