Fire Island is a magical island off the southern coast of Long Island New York and Ocean Beach is it's Capital City! It can be reached by ferries with bold names like Explorer, Voyager and Fire Island Flyer crossing the Great South Bay from Bay Shore, NY. (Fire Island Ferries - 99 Maple Avenue, Bay Shore, NY 11706)

Ocean Beach is a sophisticated town and besides the most beautiful ocean beaches in the world it is home to at least 10 fine restaurants and night clubs featuring highly talented chefs and entertainment. You will not see any cars because they are forbidden on the island. Strolling, biking and (when there's much to carry home) red wagons are the means of transportation. It is suggested that you bring a reasonably packed wagon to the passenger ferry OR (highly recommended) boxed/bagged necessities to the freight ferry at the end of Maple Ave before 9 am. Freight will arrive in OB about 1230PM. There will be a small charge for either method. If you have a great deal to carry, there is hand truck and/or WAGON available

The accommodations are a typical Ocean Beach Fire Island beach house. Clean, comfortable and safe. SLEEPS 9 , steps from beautiful ocean beaches, 12 RESTAURANTS, a multitude of SHOPS, beautiful SUNSET VIEWS, excellent night life, a great ferry schedule and all the Capital City of Fire Island has to offer. 40 minutes from JFK and LGA international Airports, or Penn Station (LIRR -Bay Shore Station 0.5 miles). There is a doctor with office hours daily, and churches/synagogues for most faiths. TENNIS and PICKLE BALL courts are available by appointment, a WATER TAXI leaving on the hour in both directions can take you on a scenic trip to most adjoining towns on Fire Island and the famous FIRE ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE, There are also BOAT SLIPS available from the dock master.


25 and older please. PARENTAL SUPERVISION must be present the entire stay when children 18 and under are part of your party or guests. No house parties, No sweet 16 parties, no prom parties without adequate adult supervision. (PLEASE INQUIRE BEFORE BRINGING PETS)

This house is situated on Bay Walk where you will be close to the bustling Main Street lined on both sides with boutiques, restaurants, pizza parlors, ice cream parlors, 3 markets, a movie theater and even a gym! There is also a Medical Doctor's Office in town with DAILY WALK IN hours.
This property has 2 SEPARATE/PRIVATE units, 1 - 3 bedroom and a second studio apartment and bath. There is also a management office on site, The laundry is occasionally used by staff. Expect that you might encounter staff in common areas. The location is at the edge of town, on the main street and normally fairly quiet, but Ocean Beach is a bustling summer community. Expect to hear occasional noise from nearby homes, businesses and streets.

There is no smoking in indoor areas. The rental will be cleaned and sanitized after your stay, new guests may be arriving at 3 pm. Before your departure the garbage must be taken out on the appropriate day. We would appreciate your vacuuming, wiping down countertops, range and microwave, shower sinks and wc. Please remove all food from refrigerator and freezer, empty dishwasher. Please take all of your soaps, shampoos and other items from the shower and bathroom area. Excessive messiness could result in a deduction from your deposit to cover additional clean up costs. START EARLY. CHECK-OUT IS 10 AM
