This hideaway offers families and friends a perfect place to unwind and relax. The home features a main room that includes the kitchen and sitting area with tv and fireplace and opens to a large glass railing deck facing directly west overlooking the beach and ocean sunsets. The master bedroom also looks out to the ocean and enjoys a modern ensuite with marble and glass shower. There are only four other cottages in the area (all well separated from each other - and none visible from the front views) offering wonderful privacy and tranquility rarely found in PEI. The Victoria at Cape Wolfe is close to amenities in the nearby town of O'Leary (10 minutes) and the Mill River Golf Resort (15 minutes). This lighthouse is unique from the others as it's considered a second generation of lighthouses due to its shape. You will also notice that the lines are painted black instead of red like other houses. This was done because the lighthouse was difficult to see due to its reflection off the red sandy beaches or how the sun reflected off the building. This made it easier for sailors to spot it during bright conditions. There is a small fee to visit the lighthouse, and you can go right to the top to view it actually working. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Wind and rain effects from the hurricane although not severe did prevent many activities which we and our pet would otherwise have enjoyed.Sunsets were gorgeous on several occasions and lobster boat activity both day and night out of nearby Howard’s Cove was very interesting and glad to see. We immensely enjoyed the expansive property and the access to a long red sand beach with cliffs sculpted into intricate shapes by wind and water. We enjoyed spectacular sunsets from the deck facing the sea. The two bedroom cottage was well equipped and attractively furnished. Beds were comfortable and the rain shower head was a treat. The place is off the beaten track, which for us was a good thing. ##### Edmond Z. The glass panels on the balcony give you that amazing view from wherever you sit. We loved walking on the beach every day and it is in a nice quiet area but not too far to drive into town. The beach, the view the sunsets, the warmth of the people in neighboring towns…just a fantastic all around experience.
