"Generally good, clean & well equipped. We did have problems with the shower which would only maintain temperature for approx 1 min & then would turn freezing cold. "Hotel staff reception was very helpful. We could not find the room, staff reception walked with us to make sure we would be okay. After swimming, pool area could do with an update: changing area, swimming area itself. Pool was good. Tried to go for a nibble at the bar, was too late: we got there after 8PM. Sat there with two hungry children, noting could be made or organised. They left us with two hungry children… this could be better! Otherwise we enjoyed our visit!"

"Room wasn’t ready on my (early) arrival. Had a lovely lunch. Checked in. Room was adequate. No sockets by the bed! Small oversight I’m sure. Went to use the spa and although food was served until 9:15, I arrived at 9pm and they said they could not serve me food as the kitchen was running an hour behind and they start cleaning it down ‘about now’. Being without a car, I had a bag of Nobby’s Nuts only for my dinner. Not great. Breakfast was a very reasonable add on and had great selections and quality. Getting there and back to the station by Uber was about £20 in both directions and took about 20 mins"

"Honestly brilliant for a “budget” hotel, we slept great, beds were comfy, shower was great, the room was spotless, only thing I wished we had was a fridge and that the windows could open because the air con was lovely but we’ve both left with really stuffy heads, it was too hot without it on but really drying with it on. Staff were amazing though, so friendly, would 100% stay again."

Holiday Inn Norwich City by IHG

10/10 Excellent
"Me and my family stayed here twice over the past three weeks and we really enjoyed our stays. In the height of summer the air-con was such a blessing, as the other hotels we have stayed in did not have ac, which made sleep incredibly difficult. The staff (in general) were pleasant and accommodating. We stayed in a stadium facing room, which the kids loved but the rooms are a bit tired and could do with a refurb. One of our bathrooms had water damage on the ceiling, which was concerning and issues with the toilet but the property manager was great and fixed the water issue for us promptly. The staff covering the bar in the evenings were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. The rooms are also pretty sound-proofed. Things to improve: Free or discounted parking would be appreciated, especially for longer stays and a mini fridge and a safe in the room would be great."
