Nothing like working on the balcony with a sea breeze and view of the pirogues! :) The staff are also amazingly friendly and wonderful, and you can just walk out the door and be on the beach and have access to all the restaurants around, incluiding the delicious seafood at Cabane du Pecheur next door!"

"I really enjoyed my stay mostly because of the view from the rooom,great food and very friendly staff. The layout of the hotel doesn't make you feel crowded. You can take a boat to Gore Island ,which 5 min away where there are other restaurants on the sea and a cleaner beach. The airport I 10 min away, so no time lost in traffic. Though the beach water is dirty,I wouldn't swimsuit many others did. Go to the island for a swim"

"Everything was really nice except 2 things; the wifi works terribly in the rooms and not consistent throughout, it was very frustrating to try to stay connected; I had a big room and it’s quite costly but yet the breakfast is not included, and paying 8 USD (4500 CFA) for a croissant, bread, butter and an average quality coffee is highly overrated."

"Travelling for work, I though the room and room faclilities were excellent. The pool was lovely and I had it all to myself. The breakfast was ok. It took a long time to get a tea or coffee, spoons had run out and staff seemed generally overwhelmed. Some parts of the hotel seemed run down. Some of the reception staff were good but some were rude. Some of the bar and breakfast staff were good and some didn't seem to know what they were doing. There were a lot of poeple begging in the hotel...

"I loved this property! The hostess named Amina went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Amina was willing to bring us to local shops and marche. She negotiated prices with the vendors so that we weren’t overcharged. She also made sure we had transportation arranged to and from the airport. The location of the property was perfect: less than a 10 mins walk to the beach where I was able to be with locals and buy fresh grilled fish from the morning catch; restaurants, bars,...

"This hotels heyday was easily 10 years ago. Things are broken. There was no warm/hot water. It was dark. The pool was not swimmable, etc. We stayed one night and then left for a different hotel. The location and access to the beach was great and the breakfast was delicious. "

"This is an older style hotel much used for conferences - in fact there was a large one there during our 5 night stay. All the rooms have great ocean views , there are lovely gardens, a good pool area with bar and a decent private beach. Breakfast is basic continental. Within easy walking distance are a number of excellent restaurants."
