Easy walk to the airport. Clean & today & good value for money. I had 1 issue where the door key on my room door was very temperamental and with arriving back at 12.30pm I was slightly concerned at one point that I would have to sleep on the landing. Could not get in touch with the owner (called and left a voicemail) to make them aware of the key issue to try and get some assistance but no answer. Eventually got the door open with jimmying key back and forth for a while (took me appx 5-10 mins) but it seems to have a knack whereby you need to hold the key in a certain position for it to open properly. Although not an ensuite i had a bathroom along the corridor to myself. Host was very friendly and informative, helped with all my airport access questions. Excellent value for money, and only an 8 minute flat walk away from the airport. Yes some bits are a bit tired, but for the price paid excellent value for money. Points faibles : Commodités Location is what you expect being so close to the airport and right on the edge of town. If you need somewhere to stay the night before your flight it’s perfect! Our room was spacious, and we had tea & coffee making available. On the first night it was warm, but the second night it was cold and the heating didn’t come on in the morning even. We stayed to visit family who live in Ponteland, so without a car it was a challenge.
