Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Moudros?
The best area to stay in Moudros is within the main town itself, particularly around the harbour and the main square.

This area is the heart of Moudros, offering easy access to local amenities and the waterfront. You'll find a selection of tavernas serving fresh seafood, cafes, and small shops lining the streets leading to the harbour. The main square is a central point, often hosting local events.

For couples looking for a relaxed and authentic Greek island experience, staying near the harbour is ideal. You can enjoy strolls along the waterfront, watch the fishing boats, and dine at waterside restaurants. It's a pleasant base for exploring the town on foot.

Families will also find the main town comforting. The proximity to local shops means essentials are always close by, and the relatively quiet streets make it easy to navigate with children.
When is the best time to go to Moudros?
The best time to visit Moudros is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October. These months offer pleasant weather, ideal for exploring, without the peak summer crowds.

The summer months of July and August are also popular, with consistently warm and sunny weather, great for beach activities. However, you can expect higher prices for accommodation and more visitors at popular spots.

For those looking for a quieter trip focused on history and nature, spring (April-May) is lovely as the island's flora is in full bloom.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Moudros.
How much is the nightly rate at a Moudros hotel?
Prices for hotels in Moudros often vary, but you can find a great deal from CA $79 on Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for the cheapest rate.
