We had an absolutely wonderful 5-star stay at the Scottish Fairway Inn in Monterey! We traveled as a family with our kid, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating and family-friendly. Our room was excellent—extremely clean, neat, well-maintained, and comfortable for all of us. It gave us total peace of mind knowing how hygienic and tidy everything was. While they didn't offer breakfast during our stay, if they ever do in the future, I have no doubt it would be super excellent based on how great everything else was! The location was perfect, the staff was friendly, and the entire experience was top-notch. We highly recommend this inn to any family visiting the area and will definitely be back!

Rooms were clean and it was nice to have two proper bedrooms in the suite. It’s a little dated and views from room are junk/storage areas but we were just in a pitstop so didn’t care. Parking is pretty rough. Very narrow spots not many of them and lots of big cars. We arrived around 10pm and really had to squeeze into and out of the car. So good value but arrive early to have decent parking!

I am a local and sometimes I just need to get out the house and stay somewhere so, I’ve always appreciated the staff and the price and the cleanliness of the rooms . They have really come a great job at keeping this hotel up to date with a fresh remodel, the ability to watch Netflix and YouTube etc.. in their in room tvs and they are always very nice - at all hours of check in - 4.5 stars for sure Dave Hopkins

I knew that this was a 'budget friendly' hotel. It was no frills as expected, but clean and comfortable. There is little sound supression from the overhead room which was noticeable, but once they quieted down, there was no problem. Please note that they add a $100 'deposit' to one's credit card which I was not expecting. I assume that will be refunded right away in my case. The motel was in a quiet and safe neighborhood very close to Monterey, which was great.

Good budget hotel. The location was good and we were able to walk to the fairgrounds from the hotel. The beds were comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet. The refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker worked great. The room was really stuffy and hot and there is no air conditioner, but there is a ceiling fan. The condition of the room was pretty shabby, baseboards were grungy looking and the floor was pretty dirty. The water pressure was really bad, but the water was hot. Decent budget hotel.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in a King room that included a convenient kitchenette area. Check-in was fast and easy, and the staff was friendly, professional, and provided great service throughout our stay. The property was clean, well-maintained, and parking was easy and convenient. The location was also perfect for us—close to everything we needed. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay again.

The room was clean and decent, but they were doing construction on the property and it started every day (including Saturday) at around 7:30-7:45 am. The noise was so loud that you couldn't talk or hear over it. It woke my 75 year old mother up from sleeping, which startled her, obviously. We couldn't be in the room while it was going on. It sounded like hammering and banging overhead and in the walls. I don't know why you would do construction on rooms with guests staying in them. We mentioned it to the front desk, but all they said was sorry, but didnt offer a different room or have the workers start later in the morning. Beds were comfortable TV was small Black out curtains don't line up to black out the light. Refrigerator had water in it The ice maker ran out of ice.
