Catherine or Philippe will welcome each guest in person, and introduce both the apartment and our beloved town, therefore we kindly ask that you inform them (via the website email) of your expected time of arrival as soon as possible so an appointment can be set up. The Riviera Beach Terrace is synonymous with a vacation in the sun, feet in the water! … Take advantage of the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean: from sunrise to sunset, from breakfast to dinner, which you will take quietly on the large terrace… Cross the famous Promenade du Soleil: the beach is waiting for you! The apartment is composed of : \- a bedroom (queen size bed, 160cm) with two French windows opening onto the terrace, \- a large living room with a sofa that converts into a queen size bed (160cm). It is possible to have a folding bed (for a child/teen) 90cm. To allow our vacationers to travel light, linen, shower towels and beach towels & dish towels are provided. Cleaning fees (apt & linens) will be asked upon your arrival so fees & taxes are not added on this amount . 2026 fare: €150 (cash only) \- a shower room (with washing machine and a small freezer), \- an equipped kitchen (oven , dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and fridge), \- a separate toilet, \- a large terrasse facing the sea and the beach. From the living room, you will have the choice between the balcony and the terrace which both have a magnificent view of the beach; The apartment is equipped with air conditioning so your nights can be of the desired temperature. The apartment is located on the 1st floor (1 floor above ground/street level) of a residence from the beginning of the 19th century, with a magnificent original elevator. The residence is located in the historic district of Menton with its colorful houses. About 100 meters away are the Cocteau Museum and the Old Market of Menton where you will find all the fresh products you need: meat & fish, fruit & vegetables, breads & cheeses as well as various local products (barbajuan, olives, etc.) . The city center with its convenience stores, banks and various shops is not much further; Nice Côte d´Azur Airport is 25 km away. Connections (express shuttle, train from Nice city center, taxis) are frequent. The express shuttle stop (bus 110) is called enton Menton Casino ’and is only around 200 meters away, the train station is around 15 minutes on foot and taxis will drop you off of course in front of the residence. For holidaymakers who come by car, there is the possibility of renting a parking space at the ‘parking des Sablettes’, which is about 150 meters from the residence. The region is rich in visits and Menton is a privileged location to see them all: Nice (about 1 hour by car / bus or 30 minutes by train); Monaco (15 minutes by bus, 8 minutes by train); Cannes (1 hour by car); San Remo in Italy (30mn by car or 20mn by train)… and the no less famous neighboring villages: Sospel, Gorbio, Eze village… for which there are many buses. ## Property amenities ### Beach - Catherine and Philippe were excellent hosts. They were very flexible about our arrival time, provided us with a clean set of linens mid way through our nine day stay, and Catherine very kindly drove us to the train station on the rainy morning that we left. The apartment is lovely, very clean , and all of the appliances worked well. The terrace and balcony are perfect with a stunning view of the sea. The lovely beach is a two minute walk away. Sep 16, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy We loved the town of Menton, the living room and bedroom of this historic apartment, it's location at the best beach of Menton and one of the Riviera's best, and the hosts are superb. Menton is charming, picturesque and prosperous with very friendly and welcoming people. There are wonderful foods, many excellent restaurants and cute shops. Just remember that almost everything closes in the afternoon, and that most of the good restaurants are closed from Sunday afternoon until lunchtime on Tuesday. We solved this problem by shopping for delicious terrines, pates, cheeses, breads, fruit, premade food at Menton's market on Sunday morning. The living room and bedroom of the apartment are beautiful and have comfortable furniture. There is a nice dining table, or you can dine on the terrace overlooking the sea. There is also a small balcony. The air conditioning works well. The best thing about the kitchen is the large quantity of plates and the dishwasher. It's extremely small and not functional to actually cook in unless you are very short and don't mind a tiny room with no daylight. Although I usually do some real cooking on trips, we didn't mind because the quality of the premade foods and the restaurants is superb.Ask Catherine and Phillippe recommendations to restaurants and bakeries - we loved all their picks, and they'll kindly make reservations for you. Great location being right over the beach, the shops 200 yards away round the corner, (you must try Ave croissants !), and a short walk round to the larger beach, boats, promenade and stunning view of delightful Menton.Communication was first class and when your only concern is the choice of coffee mugs you know you've made a great choice. So close to old Menton. Older styled property with quaint small kitchen, character bathroom. The place is spacious, clean, and beautiful! A private terrace over looks the Mediterranean and is perfectly located next to restaurants, shops, and access to the beach! 10/10 place to stay! On top of that, Catherine is an amazing host! Very friendly, helpful, and nice to chat with! She helped us plan some spots to visit as well as coordinate a taxi for our very early morning departure.
