Top Mocici Hotel Reviews

Rixos Premium Dubrovnik

10/10 Excellent

"Staff were absolutely amazing. Location is fairly convenient. The room and hallway had a slight smell but considering we were lucky enough to be upgraded, it’s a minor issue (plus it’s europe)"

Valamar Tirena Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We had an absolutely amazing stay at Valamar Tirena! The staff went above and beyond to make our visit special, especially arranging a surprise birthday cake and balloons for my wife. Everything was organised perfectly and made her birthday even more memorable. Maro World was a fantastic bonus for the kids, who absolutely loved it! A wonderful family-friendly hotel with excellent service. We couldn’t have asked for more and would definitely return!"

Hotel Komodor

8/10 Good

"Great Location, Brilliant Staff and a Lovely Stay We had a lovely stay at Hotel Komodor in Dubrovnik. Although the room was slightly outdated, the staff were absolutely brilliant, always helpful, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location, with a bus stop nearby making it easy to get to Dubrovnik Old Town. Lapad is a lovely area, with a whole street full of restaurants and cafés, so there are plenty of places to eat and enjoy the local atmosphere. The annex building is more modern, although it’s worth noting that there is no lift, which may be a consideration for some guests. Overall, a great base for exploring Dubrovnik, with a fantastic location and excellent staff. We would recommend it!"

Sun Gardens Dubrovnik

10/10 Excellent

"This was one of the highlights of our trip! The property was stunning! Enisa, the concierge, made everything absolutely perfect! She was super communicative and helped me get everything arranged from the bottle of champagne for the room upon arrival to our yachting excursion. We will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends!"

Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel

8/10 Good

"Temperature is 21 degrees Celsius here and the hotel has “closed” their beach. There are young children and adults still trying to swim in the sea while the beach is not clean or maintained and all loungers removed. I asked about this and was simply told it’s closed and to put my towel on the rocks… I was surprised to hear this. Stuff could easily move some loungers there for guests wanting to use the beach- and there are many. Locals are still swimming this week as well- October. The outdoor pool has leaves throughout and most of the pool loungers have been removed. It’s an unwelcoming site. No complaints regarding the inside of the hotel. It’s lovely. Rooms are large. Our sea view rooms have large open views of the sea. Lovely. Hotel is 15 min drive from old city walls. This is a great hotel to get away from the historic charm and get to a peaceful sea bay."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Mocici?

The best area to stay in Mocici is generally around the main road, D8, which runs through the centre of the village.

This area offers convenient access to local amenities and is well-connected for exploring the wider Dubrovnik region. You'll find a selection of accommodation options, often with views of the Adriatic Sea or the surrounding countryside. While Mocici itself is a smaller village, its proximity to Dubrovnik Airport makes it a practical choice for arrivals and departures.

Couples looking for a tranquil base away from the city's hustle and bustle will appreciate the relaxed atmosphere here. The area provides a good balance of peace and accessibility, allowing for quiet evenings while still being a short drive from Dubrovnik's historic sites and beaches.

When is the best time to go to Mocici?

The best time to go to Mocici is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, or September.

These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures superb for exploring the region's natural beauty and enjoying outdoor activities. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months of July and August, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. The sea is also warm enough for swimming during these periods.

For travellers who prefer a quiet escape and are interested in hiking or cultural visits without the summer heat, April and October can also be good choices. While the weather might be a bit cooler, you'll benefit from even fewer visitors and potentially lower prices for accommodation and flights.
