"The house is very isolated. Not feasible to walk back and forth to Sabang, where the closet market is located. The house had not been cleaned in weeks, which meant the beds were very dusty. Recommend bringing your own linens. There was no drinking water or wifi, and breakfast was not included as advertised. Power goes out often (not Bahay Isla's fault), so good luck sleeping when the weather is hot. "

"The property was very well maintained. Great communication with the host. We found a very friendly tricycle driver that was readily available at a drop of a text. Alfa mart is just a 1 minute or less walk if you need something. Minor details, need a few more towels and sharper knives. But all in all we made due. Air conditioning worked great. All in all this is a great place to call home for as long as you are visiting. I wish i could give more stars for the communication. Host was very...

"What I did not like the most was the musty smell of the room. Did not bother to ask for room change as it will take a lot of time. Note that the smell stuck on my shirt after I woke up the next day. Also, the receptionist who took charge of our room assignments did not allow us for the three (3) rooms to be beside each other for the reason that they were not from the same booking. During the day, we learned that the cocoon beside our friend’s was empty. She even was petty to not allow us to...

A beautiful property. The pool was very nice. The staff were VERY friendly! The room was huge. Older property. But the bed was comfortable (memory foam). Coffee maker in the room. No safe. A balcony overlooks the pool and the ocean. A spectacular sunrise in the morning. Breakfast include. The property is very isolated from anything. No stores. You cant walk to anything - too far. All started when the staff and owner communicated with us in regards to organizing transportation as week before we were to arrive at the resort. They were attentive, organized and thoughtful to ensure that we get to Verde Villa with no issues. We got to the Puerto Galera port, and a lovely staff member was there to greet us and take us to the resort location on the island. The resort was amazingly beautiful. We felt very welcomed and supported. The rooms were very clean, staff was very...
