Milhars is one of the gateways to the Tarn region when approaching from the Gorges de l'Aveyron toward the thousand-year-old town of Cordes-sur-Ciel, perched on its rocky hill. Here you’ll discover unspoiled nature, the shaded banks of the Cérou River, and a history and heritage dating back several centuries (medieval alleyways and a feudal castle). Lace up your hiking boots and explore the valley and the Bonnan Waterfall—a magnificent hike along the ridges overlooking the village. Around Milhars and Cordes, you can enjoy a leisurely bike ride along the paths winding through fields and vineyards. The more adventurous can hop on their mountain bikes for fantastic rides through the woods or across the Causses. In the heart of unspoiled Occitanie, you can visit Najac and its castle, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val (with its wonderful Sunday market), the Grésigne Forest and its fortified villages (Puycelsi, listed among the most beautiful villages in France, and the fortress of Penne), and you’ll be delighted by the warm welcome from the winemakers of the Gaillac region and the Pays des Bastides.
