Was promised an initial set of wood/kindling on arrival but this was not provided nor were dishwasher tablets. The bedrooms are small but fine for a weekend. « This cottage is amazing. Set on the banks of the river in the beautiful village of Beddgelert, this is a great place to stay for an adventure in the Snowdonia National Park. The bedrooms are very comfortable. The living room is relaxing and the kitchen has everything you need. You’re walking distance to pubs, restaurants and coffee shops as well as several hiking trails. « The property was perfect for our needs including location as the purpose of our stay was to visit ZipWorld to celebrate a 70th birthday. The property had everything we needed for all the generations. The games room was well used. It was good that pets were welcome too. We felt very at home and beautifully clean. « We had a wonderful stay in Rhyd Ddu - the cottage was lovely and the location was perfect for walking. Our dog absolutely loved the garden! I was a bit concerned about the on road parking but it was absolutely fine. The tea room opposite is closed for 2024 and also up for sale (July 2024) which was a bit of a shame but the pub down the road was really nice. »

« Where to start. The only positive comment is that the holiday park that the property is situated is lovely, with good facilities. If I was the owner of the park, I wouldn't allow this cottage to be associated with it. Now for the negatives. 1. Firstly the picture shown on the website is nothing like the property looks like and should be removed. Its an old terraced cottage. That needs a lot of TLC to the front and rear of the property. 2. « Owner was mega helpful as there was a booking issue, but they were easy to get hold of and resolved it on the spot. The place is cute, but quite small. nice hot shower. Close to the railway and one of the zip-worlds. beautiful scenery, no light pollution. Sound of the stream on your doorstep was a win for us, but double glazing is good, so you can cut it out, if it's not for you. The fireplace was stocked, ready for use.
