« Très belle surprise pour cet établissement un spa une piscine un grand parking gratuit. très belle chambre spacieuse hyper silencieuse dans un endroit calme et reposant. Une petite terrasse pour chaque chambre. Petite ville avec plein de commerce à deux pas à pied plein de belles balades à faire autour de plus possibilité de prendre le bus 5 minutes à pied pour aller visiter à Alkmaar et même prendre le train pour Amsterdam. nous y reviendrons sans hésitation. »

« It's a beautiful place. The hotel is clean and the staff is helpful, smiling and attentive. We didn't have breakfast or eat at the restaurant but we saw people. Our terrace was on the roof side but we couldn't eat outside because of the cobwebs or something. On the sea side, the terraces seemed more accessible. »

![Windmills still are the stereotypical essence of Holland. De Herder (the Shepard) was rebuild in 1989, but there has been a windmill around here since at least 1560. It is in working order (grain) and is now operated by volunteers.
