"Had a wonderful time at Hotel 1928. I was surprised that there wasn’t an area to get ice; however, the receptionist at the front desk was more than willing to go get us some ice. The hotel serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Basserie restaurant. The dinner was good, but the dinner was pricey and the portion servings were small. I had the roasted chicken and for thirty-one dollars that was all I got. The seasoned vegetables were not edible for they were meant to be garnishments."

"The front desk staff was the same person to check us in and out the next morning. She was very personable and nice. The room was very clean and had all that we needed for our stay. Bed was comfortable and air conditioning was fantastic. Breakfast was fresh and very good with lots of choices and plenty for all the guests. It was a great stay, will stay again for next year's visit to Waco."

"The hotel building and the furniture in my room are on the older side, but everything is very well maintained. That didn’t bother me for a second. What’s important to me is that the room was really clean. Although I would personally prefer hardwood or laminate flooring, the room itself was very well kept. My room key card was easily deactivated after sitting next to my wallet and credit cards, according to the staff. But that’s really irrelevant—they fixed it within a minute without asking any questions. I’m mentioning it only as a note for future guests: keep the key card away from credit cards or other possible sources of magnetism. The newly installed Smart TV, at least I assume it was new, was a little harder to figure out at first. All in all, I strongly recommend this place. Afan P."
