The houseboat was clean and had loads of room. We had booked for 4 travelers but it has room for 6 in all . Despite being in standing water there was no smell inside. Beds and furnishings were clean. The kitchen had all things necessary. Though the microwave is small and there is no oven. We had a great stay. But we arrived on a windy day and the aqua lodge was SO LOUD. The creaking was so loud under the bedroom from a rope that we couldn’t sleep that night and there wasn’t anything we could do about it. We were told by staff the next morning “that’s what happens on a boat”. The bikes are a nice option, however we learned the surrounding area is not great (pretty industrial) and we would have had to drive in order to bike anywhere nice. The area was quiet at night (when it’s not windy) which we appreciated. The little house boat was spacious for our family, clean, and had a great view out the patio. (The beach isnt for swimming, but has lovely chairs and trees to enjoy the ocean views or even fish off the rocks). Beautiful view for morning coffee and evening wine on the boat's deck on the water. Houseboat was very clean and nicely appointed. There was a great area on the property to enjoy watching the sunset. Everything was emasculate and the view from the back deck was lovely. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on that deck. Our 8 year old loved spending time in the loft.
