SanSal Boutique Hotel – Adults & Children 11+

10/10 Excellent

"Loved my stay here! Quiet location, perfectly situated just a few minutes walk from Chania Old Town and near a beach. The staff are lovely and very helpful, showing great Greek hospitality day or night. Their local knowledge was invaluable. The rooms are modern, kept very clean and spacious. Ours had a view of the sea and a big balcony. The bathroom had a large tub and a walk-in shower, with two sinks!"

Morum City Hotel Chania

10/10 Excellent

"I had a wonderful stay at Morum City Hotel! I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Junior Studio Suite with a huge balcony, which was wonderful for sitting outside in the evenings with friends. The staff were fantastic, from the front desk to the housekeeping team. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast was good, and the location was excellent, with an easy walk down to the harbour. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!"

Hyperion City Hotel

8/10 Good

"The room was clean, peaceful, modern, and luxurious. It had a large balcony with a view of the sea. The pool seemed to be always in the shade, surrounded by buildings so we didn’t use it as we were there in October. The breakfast was good with many options. The hotel is close to the seaside walkway to access restaurants and shops. 20 minute walk to the central bus station."

The best area to stay in Malathyros is within the village itself, particularly around the central square.

Malathyros is a small, traditional Cretan village located in the hills, known for its relaxed pace and local character. It's an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside, with opportunities for scenic walks and enjoying the natural beauty of western Crete.

Travellers looking for a quiet escape will also appreciate Malathyros. It provides a contrast to the busier coastal resorts, offering a chance to unwind and connect with the local culture.
