"Absolutely one of the cleanest rooms and bathrooms I’ve ever seen. And I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and motels. Owners were very accommodating as well. And they even had a reverse osmosis system in the bathroom sink. I’ve never seen that. So great! We’re definitely staying there again next year when we go back. Thank you River country motor lodge! A Perfect Northern Get-Away On The Scenic Big Creek In Luzerne

"We enjoyed our stay very much. It was nice and quiet and the view of the creek was a plus. We especially liked the screen house in the back. So nice to sit in and have your morning coffee. The inside was nice, clean and cozy. We went to Mio and shopped in the Pioneer store, the Creamery and the little Amish bakery on Kittle road. They have delicious cookies and great bread. We also went to Ma Deeters restaurant for dinner and the food was really good. The owners are super nice and helpful too. All in all we would highly recommend staying here. "

"We had a wonderful time this past weekend at Big Bear! The house is cozy and there is a lot of room. It was on a golf course which we loved as were avid golfers. The fun park across the street from the golf course is a great place to take the kids and get a sweet treat! We love the RV/campground that was also just down the road, it was a great idea if we ever wanted to go camping! The hosts supply you with all of your essentials and more. Sheets were super clean and floors were well kept! We were missing a few items, but no worries because they had them already supplied!!! Communication was INCREDIBLE! The documents provided beforehand were great and I was able to share them with all the guets so they knew what to expect. I'd advise getting groceries before arriving at a bigger chain store as they have more options then the market in Mio. Other than that, wonderful location. OH also two grills on the main deck... were AWESOME. "
