« We've stayed for a week at Doug and Lucy’s place in June 2025. We had a really great time, enjoyed everything. Mostly spent time on the lake - swimming, kayaking, fishing. Kids had fun at the beach and playgrounds at the Elrod Ferry Recreation Area, which is just a few minutes drive down the road. Groceries and shopping (Walmart and ALDI) are less than 10 minutes away. Overall, a very nicely located quiet place on the lake. Will definitely try to come back next year. »

« This is a fairly new property in development stage, but its peace and somewhat secluded away from boating and lake activities, like a cove to yourself. There is an abundance of wildlife to share the property, nothing to worry much about, after all it is on the water. If you bring a boat, please take your time backing to boat ramp, it's a blindside back and 4wd wound be helpful to have as part of the ramp is gravel. The peninsula with the fire pit is a great spot under the trees to relax...

Located in a quiet cove that was great for swimming. Kayaks were available for the more adventurous to explore the lake. We are ready to book again! »

The accommodations were clean, open Spaces for large gatherings, and the outdoor area was phenomenal! Loved having the pool to keep us cool in the hot weather and when we were not on a boat! The owners were helpful if we needed anything, and the communication was very clear ! Highly recommend! »

We did not stay at this property, "Songbird" because the owner claimed that it had on-going construction issues. However, our VRBO contact, Jessi, provided an equally nice place within a day's notice for the same price, "Blues Brothers Hideaway". That is the property I am reviewing here.For the two of us (seniors), there was an abundance of room. We were really looking forward to a lake house...
