Riverside Escape - Riverfront Home on 1 acre

Riverfront Vacation Home has 2 Bedrooms and 2 Full Bathrooms with Air Conditioning and Wi-Fi, located on one full acre on the Wally Road Scenic Byway.  Back yard features private stone beach on the Mohican River, perfect for launching/landing of your own canoes, kayaks, or tubes.  Easy access to the water allows for fishing, swimming, or river sitting while watching others play in the water.  We are located just 2 miles downriver from Mohican Adventures and 3.2 miles from the main entrance to Mohican State Park.  Enjoy spending your days by the river or hiking at the park and relaxing evenings around the fire. 
Living Room:  55 inch LCD TV with YouTubeTV,  Queen Sleeper Sofa, Love Seat, 2 Chairs and Coffee table

We Sleep 8 in beds, including pull out couch.  8 people is our absolute maximum, preferably 6 Adult maximum.

House Bath: Shower, Sink, Toilet

Shower House: Shower, Sink, Washer/Dryer, Toilet

Kitchen: Dining table for 6-8, Refrigerator, Range/Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, Standard Coffee Maker and Keurig Coffee Maker,  Blender, Crock Pot, Toaster, several pots and pans. Dinnerware and cutlery to accommodate 8 people.

Porch with view of river: 44” polywood table with 4 chairs. Extra seating along built-in bench on house.

Outside Amenities: Propane BBQ with Propane Provided, Riverside Fire Ring, cornhole, camping chairs.

The Security Deposit of $250 is a hold, not a charge, on your Credit/Debit Card from a day before check-in until 7 days after checkout. Your card is only charged if I claim damage during that timeframe. If I do not claim damage during that timeframe, the hold will be automatically released from your card on the 7th day after checkout. Since the card account is not technically charged, just held, the hold that you see on your online statement may just disappear instead of showing as a credit. I will always contact you to discuss any damages prior to charging your card. Please ignore any other posts that states we will collect the security deposit at the house. This is inaccurate and there is currently not an option to remove that language. Sorry for any confusion.

Needed More Time
Our ONLY complaint with the whole trip is that we didn’t book a longer stay. Our crew consisted of my in-laws, my parents, mums husband, our two kiddos (7 and 9), and our 2 year old golden retriever. This is where my son chose to go for his 9th birthday instead of having a party. The location was perfect and there were so many things to do to stay busy in the area but also just enough leisurely things to do at the property to make it hard to choose. By far everyone’s favorite thing was sitting around the fire then going to splash in the river. The hosts supplied chairs and corn hole boards so that saved us a ton of cargo space. The property was super clean and so peaceful. We ended our last evening sad about leaving so we decided to start checking our calendars to see if we could sneak in another trip before we go back to school.

Memorial Day Weekend Getaway
The only thing we had an issue was, was finding the place. We guessed it was the correct property by process of elimination, but after that, every thing was easy peasy. I am really glad there were written out instructions since we lost service right when we turned onto Wally Rd. The back porch was perfect for when it rained and just night time hang outs. It was also super fun to see all the people in the river! The view was awesome.

Cute place right on the river
This is a cute place right on the river. Very clean, great location, kitchen was well stocked with nice plates and pans. Beds were comfortable. We loved the covered back porch overlooking the river. Very relaxing place!

Nice stay but the water pressure wasn’t good, the beds weren’t very comfy, and the air conditioning was difficult to manage since it is four separate units that have to all be on the same setting for any of them to work. One of them was outside in the 2nd bathroom which is in a separate little addition from the house. So we had to go outside to change that one and then come back in and turn all of them off and back on to get them to recognize that they were all turned onto the same setting. Then, the next morning, we had to go back out and change it and then come back in and change all those and turn everything off and back on to get it to recognize the new setting again. Maybe it wouldn’t be as big a deal when the weather is consistent but this is Spring so our AC needs are different for night than they are for day. This would be a great place to stay during the summer, though.
