dudes working security/checking you in are the nicest guys on the planet, straight up have to deal with non-stop BS all night long. They are patient and super friendly they get a solid 10/10.
of my 2 night stay I stayed for 40 minutes. I chose to sleep in my car in Vermont Park as opposed to sleeping @ the Hostel if that says anything.
I suggest making/using a fake ID for check-in (as i did) then pay cash. They take a picture of your ID which I had heard about in advance so I just made a fake Idaho once and poorly laminated it.
Each room has its own keypad lock which is rad so if youre with a group of 4 you know your stuff will be safe. The rooms are hot as hell, there are 2 outlets per room and a bathroom which hasnt been cleaned in god only knows how long.
the guys working/check in: 10/10
cant say enough nice stuff about these guys, just a wonderful bunch of dudes.
actual unit: 1/10
dirty, cluttered, bunk beds are made for toddlers (i pulled mine down climbing up and i weigh 170lbs) mattress pads are just lawnchair pads and blankets are apparently covered in something itchy. DO NOT SLEEP HERE.
quiet: 1/10
in a not great part of town in a pretty run down building, lots of yelling/fights, tennant noise + street noise.
safe: 2/10
had a dude threaten to kill me and my family as I walked by him (i dont have a family, but still). I walked 5 blocks from where I parked, charged my phone, brushed my teeth and splashed some water on my face and bailed.
