Perfect escape!

The property is even more beautiful in person! One of the nicest rentals we have stayed in! Loved having the kayaks and paddleboards. Walked to town along the beach every morning. The location is just far enough from the city center to be quiet and peaceful. Beds are very comfortable and having multiple choices of pillows was amazing. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. There is construction next door but they weren't working on it during our 2 week stay. Would definitely recommend a car to get around town. Highly recommend!

January in Loreto

It’s kind of difficult to summarize how special this property is. The lodging itself is perfect, everything including beds is super comfortable and the views plus access to the miles of beach were really special. We had some very windy days but managed to use the paddle boards twice (loved it!) and were very able to take a panga boat across the Isle Coronado and saw lot and lots of dolphins. Lunch was stops at one of the many taco spots followed by cooking dinner in the well stocked kitchen. If you get inspired by the local cuisine - the grocery store, seafood stores and the tortilleria will have what you are looking for. We hope to return to this spot again.

Perfect Getaway

We loved staying at this property! It was perfect distance to town and a very quiet and safe neighborhood. The courtyard and the house were beautiful and well kept. The check in process was very easy and communication with the owner was quick and clear. The views are incredible! We would definitely stay here again.

The property was fantastic. I appreciate owners that invest in a good bed, I didn’t miss my bed once and that NEVER happens on vacation. The walk to town was easy, the fishing was fantastic, this place was a wonderful oasis to return to every day.

So beautiful

We had a relaxing vacation at Casa Bell. The house is very nice, comfortable beds, nice linens and towels. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing everyday. We enjoyed Loreto and Casa Bell .

A very relaxed vacation

We had a wonderful time in Loreto and at Casa Belle. It was extremely comfortable and just what we were looking for. We had not planned on renting a car but decided to do so once we were there. There were things we wanted to do and see that required this.

Wonderful Casita

We loved Casa Bell. Our stay was wonderful. The views of the Sea of Cortez and the mountains were spectacular. Sunrise and moonrise over the sea were beautiful. We enjoyed all the outdoor sitting options. Kayaks and paddle boards were fun. Loved being able to open all the windows to let the sea breezes in. Beds were very comfortable. Gracias

Awesome set up on the beach

Assess to town was walkable, and staying in was nice too. With a sheltered courtyard and pool. Beds were comfortable and of high quality. All the extra touches that made this feel like a home away from home are here. We will most definitely be back. It was a great place for a chill vacation!

Amazing spot

The property and location were amazing! We had a great time. Only negative I can say is the WiFi is non existent and the cell service is so so. So needless to say I did not get much work done, but the tequila flowed just fine.

Great rental property

We spent 7 nights at this property and were very satisfied with the casita. The beds were comfortable, the TV channel selection was good, and the kitchen was well stocked. It is a 15 minute walk to the start of the Malecon and about 25-30 minutes to the plaza where many of the restaurants are located. A car (or bicycles) is a good idea for this location.

Superb Stay

Casa de Bell is an outstanding rental in all respects. Gretchen has done an excellent job in the fine details of this home from the art, staging, and comfort, to the amenities of a functioning, well-equipped home. It is first class, five star all around. Two thumbs up!!

Wonderful experience

This was such an incredible welcome to Loreto. The property has everything you need, including a well-appointed kitchen - a rarity in a VRBO, really comfortable beds, and an amazing view of the Sea of Cortez. Gretchen and Rick are attentive (but not too attentive) hosts who are friendly, responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

Fabulous views and peaceful !!

While staying at Gretchen and Rick's casita at Casa Bell, you'll have everything you need for a relaxing visit in Loreto. The pictures included in this listing are true. There are 2 very comfy beds and fluffy towels in their spotless casita. A well stocked kitchen with every amenity you could need to cook a meal. Loads of storage in beautiful wood cabinets in the bedrooms. Plenty of bottled water is provided for drinking and cooking, which was fabulous as I need my coffee first thing!! They have a *gorgeous* landscaped courtyard and pool with loungers that was well lit at night that made us feel secure. We were there in February and the pool wasn't warm enough for us to use, dang it!For the most part it was quiet but this is a growing neighborhood so there was construction in the area. Gretchen has listed their property as walking distance to town. For some people that may be but we're in our 70's and we're glad we rented a car. Also, you should be aware there are 24 stairs up to the casita from the courtyard. Your luggage may get heavy ;D.

Amazing Loreto property

This property was absolutely amazing, from the craftsmanship of the casita, the landscaping of the courtyard and pool area, the location to the beach, and easy access to downtown Loreto for restaurants. Gretchen was an incredible resource for us, and made our vacation so much more special by recommending delicious restaurants, and even setting up our own panga for a day of snorkeling (we were picked up and dropped off right on her beach!). We were already planning our next trip to Loreto before we had even finished up this vacation -- we can't wait to head back for another stay at Case Bell!

New year 2021 trip

We loved how Loreto downtown is only a 20 minute walk down the beach from the house. We enjoyed the Casita, king bed was very comfortable. We didn’t watch much TV but falling asleep to a movie was fun for us. Played golf at Danzante which was awesome. It was our first time to Loreto, and it’s now out favorite sleepy Mexican town. Beautiful property and outstanding host!

We spent a fantastic week at Gretchen's casita on the beach. The casita was clean, spacious, well appointed and stocked, and had a beautiful view of and easy access to the ocean. But, what made our stay especially wonderful was how welcoming and helpful Gretchen was. She answered all of our questions, guided us to or arranged great local guides, provided kayaks, snorkel, and beach gear for us to borrow, and was just an overall great host. She (and her two dogs) were also very good with our sometimes overly-friendly 5-year-old daughter. Thanks, Gretchen, we hope to return soon!

Wonderful time at Casa Bell

We had a lovely time at Casa Bell. The casita has everything you need and very comfortable beds! The casita has a very generous patio for you to enjoy the views and the courtyard is quiet and private for pool time. We did not attempt a walk to town, but it seems like it would be pretty easy. The weather was very windy during our stay, but the courtyard provides some shelter from the wind so you can still enjoy the sunshine. We had one calm day and got to enjoy the use of paddleboards and swim in the very shallow sea off Casa Bell beach. Gretchen is a wonderful host and did her best to make our stay perfect. We plan to return to Loreto and will definitely try to rent Casa Bell Casita again.
