The village's elevated position also provides lovely views of the surrounding Provençal countryside.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find the village centre ideal. The intimate setting, with its narrow streets and quaint squares, is superb for leisurely walks and enjoying meals at local eateries. Many of the accommodations here are boutique hotels or beautifully restored guesthouses, offering a high level of comfort and personal service.

Families travelling with children will also appreciate the convenience of staying within the village. With everything within walking distance, it reduces the need for constant car journeys.

The best time to visit Les Ricoux is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, and September, when the weather is pleasantly warm and the crowds are thinner.

During these months, you'll experience glorious sunshine great for exploring the lavender fields, vineyards, and charming hilltop villages without the intense heat of high summer. You'll find it easier to book tables at popular restaurants and enjoy a more relaxed pace. May and June offer the spectacular sight of lavender in bloom, while September brings the grape harvest, a wonderful time to visit local wineries. This period is ideal for couples seeking a romantic getaway or solo travellers looking for a tranquil escape.

July and August are also popular, offering consistently hot and sunny weather, but this is peak season, meaning larger crowds and higher prices. If you're planning a family holiday and school schedules dictate summer travel, Les Ricoux is still a fantastic option, though booking well in advance is essential. The warmer temperatures are great for enjoying pools and outdoor activities, and there are often local festivals and events happening.

Winter, from November to March, is much quieter, with cooler temperatures and some businesses closing for the off-season.
