"I didn’t take advantage of the breakfast. Staff seemed nice, property definitely lost its shine. 4-5 years ago I use to stay there a lot and it was cleaner and rooms were in much better shape. Now they are roach infested and lots of visible deterioration on the walls, trim, caulking. "

"Where to start. I almost always book a Marriot property but I errantly planned a work trip to College Station during graduation week at A&M which bumped local hotel prices well above usual rates in the area. So I gave Expedia and their rating system a shot. Horrible mistake. Do not believe the 8.0/10.0 ratings. Fake news. This is a 2.0/10.0 at best. This is the single worst hotel I have ever attempted to stay in. I say attempted because I left after one hour. The door to the room which is direct access outside literally had a 1/2-inch gap between the door and and door jamb offering perfect opportunity for every mosquito and bug in the area to join me in the room. I ended up taking a pillow case and shoving it in the gap. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to actually fill the gap so I had to add a wash cloth. Once my defenses against the bugs were fortified I tried doing some work at the little table in the room. As luck would have it there was a motorcycle shop reving engines and peeling out from the building across the parking lot, paired with what I am assuming was a domestic dispute in the room next to me which prevented any progress. After staring at the cigarette burns in the bedding, rusted hinges on the doors and dirt/mold in every nook and cranny there, I decided I would rather pay for a second room elsewhere than make any attempt to stay here. While friendly enough the front desk said any type of refund was out of their hands. Expedia, can you give me a refund? "

"Property was very unique. We were disappointed with foul smell, cockroach infestation. It was very difficult to enjoy the unique character of the property. It was so bad that most of our party left to stay in a nearby hotel. The cost was 1800 per night since it was a graduation at A&M. It definitely did not meet our expectations. "

"Very dated, “pillows” were paper thin, coffee was cheap, creamer was powder. Furniture is very old, had rips, and stains. Would have given 2 stars if not for the staff. She was very helpful and kind. When we got there our A/C was broken. Very hot in the room. Sold out too. Luckily there was a last minute cancellation, otherwise we would have be screwed."

"The room smelled so bad, like mold stale air. The ac was not on, management said it should have been on. Our room was in the back building, passing so many work trucks. It felt unsafe, the workers were hanging out outside some of their rooms. I didn’t feel comfortable or safe. The room as u mentioned smelled so bad the air freshener we used only masked the stale moldy smell. The bedspread had a burn mark in it. Yes, I know you get what you pay for, but I felt it wasn’t worth the stress and discomfort to stay. We were in town for Graduation. Andrew was very helpful and really tried to convince us to try another room. At that point I was afraid of the possibility of bed bugs, and overall safety. "
