ibis Dinant Centre

ibis Dinant Centre

8/10 Good
"Good location for exploring Dinant. Clean, quiet room with comfortable bed, but towels were thin. Breakfast very good with lots of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking right next dooor, free from 17.00 to 09.00 - you have to pay at other times."

"It might not look great on the outside, but the room was clean, everything worked fine and the view was beautiful. The receptionist was great and arranged for my late return to the hotel after the closing hours of the reception."

Le Presbytère de Sautour

8/10 Good
"A peaceful haven within striking distance of Dunkirk ferry port for us. Beautiful setting with lots to do. Not only pool and jacuzzi but also board games, books and pool table accessible. Very quiet but then we did stay on a Monday night. I'm sure it is busier at the weekend. Comfortable quadruple room with proper beds for all made this perfect for us and our teenagers to break the drive up from Bavaria."

"Good sized clean room, although the bunked placement made getting in the door a little awkward. Nice hotel and the pool was definitely a hit with our children."

La Barrière de Transinne

La Barrière de Transinne

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is located at a roundabout in the middle of nowhere. The location was mostly beneficial to us, as we wanted to visit different places that were all within a reasonable driving distance. (Luxemburg, Dinant, Rochefort, Bastogne, Namur.) The service was good and the rooms were nice. The breakfast was remarkably good, among the best i can recall in terms of quality, though the selection was somewhat limited. The lady arranging the breakfast was particularly nice. Dinner at the restaurant was also fantastic. The restaurant requires reservations for dinner, but they still accommodated us the first night when we were unprepared. This place almost felt like a hidden gem, particularly at this price, though that is likely due to location. Even so there were a few things that bothered us a bit: the rooms are not well ventilated and the heat in the summer was unpleasant, though we did get a fan to mitigate this. Three out of four mornings we were woken up by noise outside in the mornings (we had the windows wide open). One morning it was the music at the patio 0730, the next it was hedge trimming at 0830, then it was the truck delivering supplies at 0630. All of this by the hotels services, there was also a garbage truck and some road noise (the speed limit outside is 70kph), but that is more or less as expected. Shutting the windows mostly cut off the noise enough to go back to sleep for a while longer."

"Hotel was lovely clean and quiet with great amenities. Pool and spa were fun. Only negative was we booked a certain room and they didn’t have it available when we checked in so we ended up with 2 different rooms. It didn’t matter too much for one night tho. Friendly staff"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Landrichamps?
The best area to stay in Landrichamps is the village centre, particularly around the main square. This central area is the heart of Landrichamps, offering easy access to the local boulangerie, a couple of traditional restaurants, and the small, historic church. The streets are pedestrian-friendly, and you'll find charming guesthouses and boutique hotels located among the older buildings. It's an excellent base for those who appreciate local culture and a slower pace.Couples looking for a romantic and quiet escape will particularly enjoy the village centre. You can spend your days exploring the local craft shops, enjoying long lunches at sidewalk cafes, and taking leisurely strolls through the nearby vineyards. The evenings here are peaceful, superb for enjoying a glass of local wine. For those travelling with a family, staying slightly outside the immediate village centre, but still within a short walk, offers more space and privacy. Many gîtes and larger holiday rentals in the surrounding countryside provide gardens and more room for children to play. These properties often offer a tranquil setting while still being convenient for popping into the village for supplies or a meal.
When is the best time to go to Landrichamps?
The best time to visit Landrichamps is generally during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months, when the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities and exploring the region.Spring brings blooming vineyards and mild temperatures, making it ideal for walking or cycling through the countryside. The days are longer, and the region begins to awaken with various local markets and outdoor events. This period is particularly good for couples looking for scenic drives and wine-tasting experiences without the peak summer crowds.Autumn offers a beautiful display of changing leaf colours across the vineyards and forests, alongside comfortable temperatures. This is also harvest season, so you'll find plenty of opportunities to experience local traditions and enjoy fresh regional produce. Travellers who appreciate culinary experiences and a relaxed pace will find autumn particularly appealing. While summer (July and August) is popular, it can be quite warm, and attractions may be busier.
