Large one bedroom condo for rent in beautiful South Maui. The complex is rated a "Solid Gold Value" by the Maui Revealed guidebook. Located across the street from Kamaole State Beach Park II, this 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo is located on the third (top) floor, with partial ocean view from the large and private lanai. There are no elevators at the complex, which provides for quiet and privacy as there are no walkways outside the bedroom window. Shopping and several restaurants are within walking distance. Kamaole Beach II, has a lifeguard station, and provides good snorkeling, body surfing and nightly sunsets. There are laundry facilities, gas grills and a large swimming pool on-site. Kihei Kai Nani is a quiet no smoking one bedroom complex. This is a fully furnished condo with a full kitchen, two TV’s, two A.C. units, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, free parking, free Wifi and more. My only quibble is the timers on the air conditioners. We were there in January and didn't bother to turn them on. A really lovely and homely place to stay in Maui! The location was incredible - the beach across the street was perfect for sunset viewing and swimming, and there were 2-3 others within 10-15 minutes of walking. The laundry on-site was convenient and clean (we went to the adjacent pool while waiting)! When we arrived, the area around the complex and the apartment did have a slightly wet, musty odor, but that completely went away the second day and never returned, so perhaps that was an anomaly. It was quite hot without the AC and fans on and it got warm at night, but it was manageable. Unfortunately the power was shut off for half a day during our stay for maintenance, but we booked an excursion so there was no problem :) Overall, would recommend! The location is in a very busy part of Kihei, which is good or bad, depending on how you feel about lots of people. The unit itself is a ways from the busy road (not too far though) so there is no road noise - I was amazed at how quiet it was for sleeping. There are quite a few long-term residents there who were all very friendly and welcoming. We loved being so close to the beach. The unit had plenty of beach chairs/umbrella, kid beach toys, etc. ##### MARY O. The condo complex is quiet and located right across the beach! I can't stress how convenient it was to simply cross one street and be on the beach. The complex also have free parking (with a permit) and a pool. There are tons of places to eat and shop that are next door or within a couple of minutes of walking distance. Foodland (groceries) and ABC Store is right down the road. The condo itself has everything you could need! We used the beach chairs, boogie board, and an insulated lunch box. The condo is clean, has a great balcony to sit outside and catches a great breeze when you have the sliding doors and front door open. Bedroom has a floor unit AC and living room has a window AC. I would recommend to friends. Clean unit, homey and comfortable. Just a note for new people so you know what to expect. It’s on the 3rd floor, and the stairs are a bit steep. Ok for me, but tough for mom. The AC in the living room works fine, but the bedroom AC is a stand-alone unit and does not cool the room below 82\. It’s quite loud but drowns out the incessant roster crowing starting at 1am. All this is fine if the temps stay in the 70’s. Last thing, the sofa bed is very uncomfortable and makes noise when you move. On the plus side, the sofa is super comfy. We love Kihei and this location is perfect. ##### Tammy S. This is a great location with all amenities around . The overall experience with the beginning to the end of the booking and stay at this place is excellent so easy to communicate with the owners of the property. I can not express how much of an amazing people Michael and his wife are. Condo was as described. Location was perfect for us, a lot of good food around. We loved Kihei Cafe, we went every morning. Beautiful beach across the street, amazing sunset!! Love to see how people gather to watch the sunset. Our favorite beach was a 6 minute drive. Our favorite restaurant a 10 minute drive (Monkey pod). Convenient location to go everywhere. One hour to Lahaina. And very close to the beautiful area of Paia. Well, writing this review made me think of how much I felt in love with Maui. The home has just about everything that you need - beach chairs, coolers, plenty of towels, boogie boards, you name it! Wall-to-wall-floor-to-ceiling window gives you plenty of light and fresh air. We only used an AC a couple times for a couple hours! The location is simply unbeatable, you don't even need a car unless you want to do some around the island travel. It was clean and easy to find. Location was so close to a bunch of things and right across from Kam Ii beach. The only negative I can think of is the A/C unit in the bedroom; in order to save power it is on a 4 hour timer. It would cool down relatively quickly when we would turn it on for the night but we would be woken up by it turning off and would need to reset the timer to make it through the night. This was relatively minor inconvenience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this spot! ##### Matt G.
