This was the perfect place for us to call home while we explored the area. The owners are wonderful and shared lots of helpful information. Our clean, cozy room had the most comfortable bed and lovely-smelling linens! We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Keystone!
Very nice place the lady working the lobby was a very nice person and supper helpfull would recommend staying at Battle Creek Lodge to anyone looking to have a good time in the black hills
Very nice place and has that feeling of home, not like big chain hotels. Conveniently close to many sights and places in Keystone. Would definitely come back.
It was awesome staying so close to the main strip of Keystone but also being secluded enough for a quiet good night's rest on a very comfortable bed! Staff was so friendly and the place had character, a beautiful patio, and amazing scenery. It felt safe and clean and comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again!
They reached out to us to make sure we had all our info for our very late self check in. The place was nice clean and SO quiet. We were in heaven, and sad we had to head out so early then next morning. We will for sure stay here when we come back! Thank you!
Great place to stay. Very comfortable. Just need Kleenex

Liked: Room comfort
Confusing parking, not easy to re-lock door. Nasty seasonal large bugs. Dead bugs in room. Expensive for what we got but popular area.
But it was quiet and conveniently located.
Super cute hotel on the side of the road, near stores/shops.
Easy check in, front desk called to confirm and texted room code (no need to check in upon arrival).
Parking is on the road right outside hotel.
This is a family owned lodge and they are warm, friendly, and helpful. They invite the guests in the morning for pastries and a light breakfast. The room was clean but a little rustic. The bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property.
One of the most friendly places I have stayed at. The room was just repainted with updated carpet and the bed was very conformable. More on the scale of a bed at a Hyatt hotel. Close enough to down town that you could walk to any of the stores/restaurants.
Expedia did not send me the sign in instructions, but our hosts called me ahead of time to make sure I got what we needed for a contactless check in. We booked during peak season, but there was enough parking for each guest. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, giving tips about attractions in the area. Very clean and adequate room with comfy beds and pillows. A/C worked great.
We only stayed one night. It’s a very cute place and the owner was very friendly. She reached out with our room number and access code. I don’t think there was an ice machine, which is a downside.

Clean bed and hot shower. Coffee and a wonderful cinnamon roll in the morning. If you are looking for a high price chain motel this is not it. This is locally owned by someone who knows the history or Keystone and their property. She took the time to educate us on some amazing history and gave us tips for our bike ride to Yellowstone. Will stay here again for sure. Call them direct instead of using an online app. Makes things easier.
really close to lots of tourist spots, i enjoyed shopping and eating in areas near by. also super well placed town in between rapid city and custard. we loved staying in a lodge instead of a hotel.
