When I arrived, after 1:30 am, exhausted after a full day of traveling, I arrived only to find my Expedia reservation had issues..... The payment was declined! Luckily, I had ALL the paperwork printed out with confirmation, paid in full with Expedia. The clerk called the manager at home, explained the situation and ran it as cash. Never heard anything more until day before I was due to check out (4 day stay) assumed it had been worked out. The hotel called interrupting my meeting, stated they had to charge my credit card as they needed to be paid and somehow Expedia wasn't. After about 45 min in the office, Heidi and I worked it thru with Expedia and the third party provider.
The hotel staff apologized profusely, I believe they tried their best to resolve the issue without inconveniencing me but were unable to. Still they went above and beyond and ensured my card would not be charged.
