It was ok, outside looks rough but it's better inside. I had a hard stay because my allergies were affected by whatever they cleaned the carpet with and I think the pillow may had fallen on the floor when it was still wet so the smell was extremely overwhelming when we walked in and worst when I laid down to sleep. But the staff were very nice, breakfast was delicious.

It was a good room. Most front desk staff were great. 1 not so much. The food at Oliver’s was not great. But the breakfast was good. Over all pretty good stay. I would definetly stay again.

The room was clean and a good size. This hotel features a spacious lobby which can double as a waiting area for the bar/restaurant, which usually seems quite busy. There is a lot of parking available, which is needed for bar patrons, as well. The (included) breakfast is prepared for each person in one end of the bar (the rest is closed of course), and is really good! The cook is quick and the results are quite tasty. The price is usually quite reasonable.

Room was clean and smelled nice. Beds and furniture are worn out. Sheets were good but towels and washcloths had holes in them. Breakfast was very good. We really enjoyed having dinner in the attached restaurant. Elevator inspection certificate expired March 2026. Elevator buttons did not light up and the floor was sticky. One major negative was the smell of weed being pumped into our room via the bathroom exhaust vent. The price was good.

We were scared when we first saw the exterior of the property. It is in terrible condition. But we decided to go inside. Let's just say it was definitely one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" experiences. So nice! And the staff was so helpful and welcoming!!! Great, clean room and breakfast was made to order (eggs over easy...sausage...and potatoes). So glad we stayed! Thanks!!!

My room was a big as an Apartment! The Breakfast cook Jose is great, glad to call him friend! Staff keep you happy and smiling . I’m gonna miss this place when I go home. Thank you, Joe, Jaden, Janice - and Melissa for making it such a great time. Convenient bar/restaurant downstairs with great host! Five Stars All Day… A Must stay in Kankakee!

If this is an 8 I would hate to see what a 2 looks like. The place smelled of mold and marijuana. Empty beer cans in hallways. Elevator numbers and buttons don’t lights up. Tv from the early 90s on a dresser that looks like it was bought at goodwill. College dorm refrigerator with a microwave on top. I haven’t seen pillows this small since I was in Bootcamp. The staff were very nice. But that is were the good stopped. Even local PD asked why would you stay there!?
