Wonderful place to stay in Kona
Very nice condo. We enjoyed our stay very much. Short walk to numerous shops and restaurants with the ocean all along the route. The owner left numerous containers of coffee plus cream in the fridge. We definitely would want to stay there if we come back to Kona.

nice condo - no view - constant construction noise both from complex garage and outside building. Impossible to enjoy lanai. Noise during day and parking lot lights shining into living room at night. Very loud air conditiong compressor.

Hi Kathleen, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:- We strive to provide our guests with a great guest experience, so we were disappointed to hear your feedback and want to take a moment to address your concerns. - We were surprised to read about your experience as we didn't receive any communication during your stay regarding the issues you mentioned. We made sure you were aware that I was the primary contact and encouraged guests to reach out for assistance should they need it during their stay.- The condo is equipped with lanai blinds to diffuse natural light. Additionally, within the living room, blind slats have been installed over the sliding glass doors to effectively block out light in the evening. However, factors such as external lighting on neighboring buildings and ongoing maintenance activities outside the Kona Plaza are outside of our control. - We recently had a new Daikin mini-split system installed, which features a quiet compressor. After hearing your feedback we went to further investigate your concerns and can confirm the air conditioner was running quietly.We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Quiet Condo
Beautiful decor, just as pictured on website. All the amenities and some little extras. Complex is very quiet despite being close to Ali'i Drive! Good communication with owner thru out our stay. Yoga studio on the back street.. great location! Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic condo in the heart of Kona!
My husband and I stayed here for a week and this condo was perfect for our needs, and the best vacation rental we've ever stayed at in Kona (we've stayed in a few). Katt, the owner, communicated details perfectly and has included a lot of extras that really made our stay even more enjoyable, and easier. The condo was very clean, very close to grocery shopping, restaurants, and beaches. We'd love to come back some time!

This place has it all! It was centrally located next to lots of shopping, food, beaches and the harbors for water exertions. We stayed here for 6 nights. Katt was amazing to work with from the time our reservation was made and throughout our stay. She was quick to respond with any questions we had.

Great location in the heart of Kona
We stayed here 17 nights while I was working remotely during the weeks and on “vacation” on the weekends. This unit has been renovated and it’s pleasant to stay here. There was plenty of internet bandwidth for video conferencing or streaming Netflix, Hulu, etc with your own Roku or Fire TV. Probably the best thing about this unit is the location. There are tons of restaurants and bars within a short walk. There’s even beaches and snorkeling within reach without driving. Summary: Pros - - great location right by the 200 year old church. - bbq grill on the fourth floor with a great view of the water and the church. We used this almost daily for lunch and only saw another person once. (We grilled for lunch on Pacific time so it was around 9am). - recently renovated unit with nice bathroom and kitchen - the owner is VERY responsive and was amazing to work with the few times we experienced minor issues. - the unit is nicely equipped with all the kitchenware and bathroom supplies most people would need. - central air in this unit is much better than window A/C units that only cool one room and are noisier. The central air went out twice during our stay but the owner was able to get the condo complex to fix quickly both times. Cons: - there’s really no view from this unit. I mention this because for this price range a view of the ocean is available. A colleague of mine stayed in another Kona Plaza unit in the same floor and had a decent view for about $40 less per night (his unit was otherwise not as nice, however). - if you are working remotely, you may need to supply your own desk and office chair as the furniture in the unit is not really suitable for this purpose. It was no big deal for me as I keep an office chair and folding table (I use for a desk) in offsite storage between trips. - water pressure in the shower could be a bit stronger, but it was not too bad. - small main TV (for the space) that was difficult to view in the daylight. No big deal because who goes to Hawaii to watch TV? But I mention because it’s an easy fix. - no tv in the bedroom. Again no biggy, but an easy fix and available in most other units at this price point.

This is a lovely well maintained and very comfortable condo centrally located in the heart of Kona town, yet set back away from the noise and crowds. Parking is safe and convenient, underground in the basement of the building. The owners were wonderful, and literally went out of their way to accomodate us.

We loved the condo
The condo was beautiful. It is actually much better than the photographs. The location couldn’t have been better. It was right in the middle of shopping and many restaurants but very quiet. The ocean is across the street. Katt was wonderful. We can’t compliment this condo and its owner enough. A great holiday and so much to do in Kona.

Modern decor, clean and very convenient location to stay without a vehicle. We had a vehicle for a few days and had no trouble finding parking down in the garage, or in lot a floor below condo for loading up.

Great location in town but near the water.
Clean, comfortable, cool, can walk to most hotels, restaurants and bars as well as the water. Nice to have the pool too when you simply want to relax a little. Katt responded quickly when we had a question.

Centrally Located
Beautifully modernized and updated condo that is centrally located to Kona shopping and restaurants. We walked to dinner nightly to watch the sunset at the Kona Inn and Huggo's. Kona has beautiful sunsets. Our only complaint was that the beach chairs and beach towels need to be updated. Costco sells nice quality beach towels for $ 10 and full size beach chairs. These were so uncomfortable the we cut our beach day short. Overall a very nice condo and would totally recommend.

Comfortable condo
We recently stayed at the Downtown Kailua-Kona Condo at Kona Plaza. Understanding that this is an urban setting, we were quite pleased that it was quiet. There is some noise from the very near downtown, but it quieted down fairly early in the evening and was never a problem. The unit itself is very well appointed and comfortable. The furnishings and decor are very appropriate for a tropical setting and exactly as pictured. The kitchen has all necessary appliances and much of the condiments you might need. The bathroom is small but everything you need is provided and it is very clean. The tile shower is roomy and clean. The bedroom has a King sized bed that is comfortable, and there is generous closet space. It was very convenient to have a washer and dryer available in the unit. The close proximity of the condo to downtown Kona is very fun. If you are into night life there are many clubs close at hand. The many downtown restaurants are also within walking distance. If you just enjoy a walk along the ocean it is also close at hand. We have been visiting the Hawaiian Islands for about 10 years. This is the first time that we have not stayed at a "Resort" type condo, and quite honestly for the difference in cost this unit is well worth consideration. If you understand that you are not on the beach, and not at a resort you will not be disappointed. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you! Joe and Lee

Perfect little condo in DT Kona for your vacation, or weekend get-away.
First off, I have to thank Katheryn. All her instruction were detailed, and precise which made my stay much more relaxing, and stress free. Everything about this condo is perfect. Whether it's for an extended vacation, or just a long weekend get-away like mine was. I've been to Kona before, but last time I stayed in a near by popular chain hotel. This was much more convenient. She has everything ready for your visit. Right down to the coffee, and green tea. There is no reason to make a trip to the grocery store, unless your going to be cooking daily, or if you're craving some fresh poke'. Everything is so accessible from this condo. Easy walking to the beach, local restaurants, night-life, and shopping. If your plans are only to stay in Kona, then there is no reason for you to even rent a car if you don want to. You can easily Uber, or Lyft to DT Kona to and from the airport. I rented a car only because I have friends on different parts of the island. New time I visit Kona, you can bet I will be looking to stay here once again. Mahalo Katheryn!!

Beautiful Condo in a Great Location
My husband and I stayed a week in the condo. The unit is beautifully decorated, and it is obvious the owners put a lot of effort into making the condo a great place to stay. The unit had everything we needed for our stay, and the owners were very responsive to any questions we had. The king size bed was also a nice feature! Location was excellent and in walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

Perfect location, if you are not fused for an ocean view. Well located and a short stroll to the mainstrip with a multitude of restaurants and shopping. Parking is easy in a secured basement. The apartment is a great size, super clean and has a beautiful decor in the Hawaiian spirit. The owner has provided all the amenities required for a fuss free short stay. The owner is obliging and thoughtful and made themselves fully contactable during our stay. Thank you for the delicious Hawaiian chocolates. Highly recommend this property

Perfect Location, Perfect Accomodations
Great place - clean, welcoming, modern and in a perfect location. Spent a week here while training for IRONMAN World Championships before moving to a larger house outside of town for race week... the house I moved to was extremely nice but the accessibility to downtown and activities from here could not be beat! Great central Kailua location.
Excellent location in central Kailua, easy to walk to pier, restaurants etc. We rented to watch Ironman Championship and it was perfect; close to several good observation spots and easy to return for a break and/or meal. I’m giving 4.5 stars vice 5 as the view from the living room and lanai is mostly other buildings. The owner is great and the furnishings are very good; overall a very good rental for one or two people.

Beautiful and great location
The location can not be beat. We were right in the heart of downtown with so many places within walking distance and the beach a block away. The actual rental was amazing. The place was large and clean with a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. The large lanai was perfect place to sit and eat breakfast. Laundry in-unit was also a great perk. Check in and check out was really easy. Would definitely rent again.

The condo was close to shops, restaurants and the beach. It was nice and quiet as well. We found the mattress on the bed way too soft for us. That could be personal preference, but if you like a firm mattress, it may be an issue. The kitchen is quite small. We found it tight for 2 people to cook in. Overall, it was a nice, clean and well decorated condo to stay in.We enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to walk to shops and markets.

Great furniture, super location!
Had a great week-long stay in this 2nd floor condo. Enjoyed the sunny lanai in very comfortable furniture, or lowered the blinds and relaxed in the shade. Inside, the unit is tastefully decorated and well laid out. Very, very nice!
