The two rooms are pretty much identical doubles, and the living room/kitchen is a good size. Nice views of the river from most rooms, and a lovely small balcony coming off the main living area. Would definitely come back if in the area."

"Beautiful & impressive stately hotel in lovely surroundings , with well-appointed & well-furnished rooms. Got a very friendly welcome, and had requested a room with a view , if possible - and happily got one over looking the rolling countryside towards the Solway Firth. Breakfast was delicious, staff were very attentive, and meal set us up for our journey into the Lake District."

Different room to last week, didn't have a comfy chair and the sink is very close to the bath but it was quieter and did the job. Just used the chippy for evening meals but with a pint of Best from the bar and making use of the seating area, thank you. Will hopefully be back"
