The staff were friendly and helpful. They had sufficient English to help me with any problems I had. The hotel provided a ride to and from the ferry. They helped with booking outings and renting an e-bike. The location is only a couple minutes drive from the restraunts and shops. You can walk it if you wanted to. They do have their own food stand. I did not try it, but it looked good. Staff were sweet, but not particularly helpful in most instances, although I don’t think that was particularly their fault, more the language barrier, which is our problem, not there’s. They did however drop us off at the port with our luggage without even being asked, which was nice. Location is close to the ferry port, but also right next to the power station for the island. The so called ‘sea view’ is more of the rather dirty and run down fishing port, not so much the sea, although technically correct. Would we stay there again, probably not, but then again, probably wouldn’t visit the island again. It’s a pleasant place, but once was enough." Kudos to the staff (I think she’s also the owner) for notifying us that transport out of the island was cancelled due to typhoon on the day we planned to depart. That heads-up gave us time to change our ferry ticket to a day earlier." The rooms are simple but clean. For the price it’s an incredible deal. The captain’s view in front of the house is hard to beat. Paps is a retired tuna captain and it appears his family runs the place. He’s always out front chewing betel nut and keeping an eye on his water. Does not get more local than this. At the beginning of the main strip with all the restaurants and shops. Plenty parking for scooters. Breakfast Nextdoor while staring at the dark blue water. It’s hauntingly memorable."
