Newly Renovated Cabin with Stunning View

"This property is in a beautiful location with easy access to many attractions. Wake up each morning to an ever-changing, expansive mountain vista off the deck. Enjoy firefly evenings around the firepit. Keep cozy indoors with the fireplace. Lounge on the deck and enjoy the view. We often played cards on the deck at night under the string lights. Oh, and there is a TV with Youtube TV if you need it. High-speed internet is provided. You may find your cellular access limited, but WiFi calling works.Highlands road leads to downtown Franklin in one direction and to Highlands in the other. I'd recommend taking a day trip or two to both, and do stop to check out the waterfalls on your way to Highlands. Beyond Franklin you can get to the Appalacian Trail for a mountain hike, or just drive up to the top of Wayah Bald for an incredible view. The property has everything you need. I'd suggest going grocery shopping after checking what's already in the kitchen There is no laundry, but there is a coin laundromat right down the road across from the Food Lion grocery store. There are a few minor issues (noisy ceiling fans, offroad vehicles in the distance around 5PM), but these won't spoil your visit. The neighbors are friendly and you may run into them occasionally when they're walking the quiet road. The propery next door is also a short-term rental. Dogs welcome!"

"The waterfall is amazing, and at night with the lights on it it is even better. The living room looks out onto the falls. Parking was easy. There is a little construction going on on the main road, but it is not a bother at all. I read a previous review about water pressure, it was fantastic, so maybe they just caught it on a bad day. Access is a breeze. There is a Food Lion coming in and an ABC store. Its a good place to stop. Also, for any last minute items there is a Dollar General nearby. If you bring water shoes you can wade out under the falls. We also used the fire pit, there was wood but I would recommend bringing some kindlin and fire starters and lighters. The hot tub was great as well. There is a grill that is easy to use and if you are a dog family a crate is provided. We did some laundry as well and the machines were great (we forgot some things and had to re-use some clothes). There is not much for cell phone service, which is fine, because you can just login to the internet and use wifi for calls. Speaking of the wifi, sometimes when you get off the beaten path it is not great, I had to do some work and it was great. There are games for the kids provided as well. Coffee machine can do pots and cups. Not far from Dry Falls and the Highlands, where you will pay this much for just a room without a waterfall. Great value for the money and we would stay again for sure. Book and enjoy!"

"That is my dream Wood log house, fireplace, deck, water well, jacuzzi, parking space… The Mountain View is nice. But could be better and much wider, if removed some trees on left and right side of it. The bedroom upstairs is not easy to reach because of steep spiral entrance. Solution for this was reclining couch downstairs. Overall family and dog are very happy. Thank you very much for your hospitality."

"This was a very nice cabin with everything you need to feel at home. The location was perfect as it was central to many of the places we went to. Only two minor observations. First, I had trouble getting up the driveway in my rental minivan. Thankfully, there was an alternate access! Second, the shower in the downstairs bathroom is the tiniest I’ve ever seen in a home. It felt like I was in an RV. It does not fit well with the very lovely and spacious King bedroom en-suite Overall, it was still a great cabin that I would gladly recommend."

"Creekside, secluded, yet close to adventures and sights. We were very happy and comfortable here. So the driveway is steep, and care is needed, but our full size pickup had no problem. You will love the enclosed porch, with the cool stillness and soothing sound of the creek, when having coffee, or relaxing. Comfortable bed and furniture, clean and stocked for your stay."

"Best “hippie” stay ever! Our hostess left no detail out….any little thing we could need, she had accommodated!Perfect spot to watch the stars at night, best weather to enjoy the firepit nightly, short steps to the soothing sounds of the river!Got the biggest kick out of showering “outside”! Bed slept very comfortably! Plenty of lighting inside and out as needed!Amazing couples’ experience!"
