We used the full kitchen for preparing meals at the house. The beaches and lake access made for a good stay. We would suggest better care of the deck to make it an inviting outdoor area. Everything inside was immaculate—even the garage laundry area. About a dozen bees visited while we tried to dine on the deck, but they were friendly, not aggressive. We opted to eat our other meals inside. We spent a day at the nearby marina and rented a kayak and bought some floatation tubes. We enjoyed beautiful weather, clear water, and a well-kept beach, resting up after a full day of touring Yosemite. When we arrived there was garbage strewn all about the driveway. The house smelled like wet animal. There were cobwebs all over the deck. And we lost power for an entire evening with no communication from vacasa and not sufficient back up supplies (flashlights, candles, generator, etc). Vacasa was impossible to get a hold of and unwilling to refund us for spoiled groceries. Unhappy children did not get fed dinner...do not make the same mistake! ##### grace d.
