2nd time staying on this property and this unit was no as nice as the one we got.before. This one was clean but run down. Couch bed was not comfortable at all. No closet door for the washer/dryer, Crack and sagging ceiling in the bedroom. It is a great location, next ro the water, beautiful balcony view of the ocean, walking distance to downtown and next door to a small beach. If you are going to be out and about all day, it is a good place to come back to at Nighy. Just not all units are as nice and you don't get to pick which unit you stay in, It would be nice if you could pick.

The Hamakua was amazing. It was everything you could want in a boutique hotel. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately kept. The every room has an incredible view of gardens overlooking the Pacific. The staff, Belle and Sabrina were the best,
If you are there for one of Chef Joseph’s meals don’t miss it!
