"We had a great stay here! We chose to stay near the beach for a few days, and this was a great place for it. It was a 3-minute walk from the beach with beach clubs and restaurants, a 30-minute walk to Perissa (perfect for dinner, etc), and a 2-minute walk to a convenience store. The room was very well furnished and very clean. The check-in/out process was easy, and the host was incredibly friendly, offering to help with anything we may need! "My daughter and I stayed at the Aquila Atlantis Hotel during our visit to Heraklion. While it didn't have the unique character and intimate atmosphere of some of the boutique hotels we stayed at elsewhere in Greece, it was still a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The hotel's biggest strengths are its location and amenities. It was easy to walk to many of Heraklion's attractions, restaurants, and the waterfront, making it a good base for exploring the city. The property is modern, well-maintained, and offers the services and facilities you would expect from a larger hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our needs. The staff was professional and helpful throughout our stay, and check-in and check-out were both smooth and efficient. For travelers looking for a full-service hotel in a central location, Aquila Atlantis is a solid choice. It may not offer the charm, history, or personalized feel of a boutique property, but it delivers what it promises: a comfortable stay, good service, and a convenient location for exploring Heraklion. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to visitors who prefer a larger hotel experience or need a convenient base before exploring the rest of Crete."

"This is not an all-inclusive resort, it is semi-inclusive. You are limited to two restaurants although there are seven of them and once you use up your reservations you must eat at the buffet restaurant. Further, room service is not included (unless you count the water and few cans of soft drinks that they may refill daily). The Greek staff is generally rude and not willing to help, that being said the foreigners are much friendlier and assist whenever you ask. Overall, the resort was okay not the best but not bad. The spa services were nice and the two restaurants we were allowed to try had okay food essentially what you would expect in a hotel restaurant."

"Overall this property and the staff were beautiful and amazing. I did have a few issues 1.My room pool wasn't cleaned everyday (leaves and wind debris. 2. I went out two days all day and my room wasn't cleaned when I returned 3. The minibar attendant and the maids would come in the room anytime without waiting for me to say come in. I never experienced this in a hotel before. 4. There was a extra charge of 15 Euros a day at check out. for what? Even with these 4 issues I would stay at the hotel again. I hope this review will help."

"We stayed at Volcano View Hotel after renting a car and driving from the airport. Overall this hotel truly deserves its 5 stars. The view is magical, especially if your room faces the ocean. The pool area is beautifully designed: you can swim, relax, and sunbathe while looking out at the ocean through the glass. Our room was very nice, fresh, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent, and everything was changed and taken care of properly. We also really liked the gym. It was clean, high quality, and had very good equipment. The front desk staff were outstanding. During check-in, check-out, and whenever we had questions, they were kind, patient, and happy to help. They gave us useful local advice, restaurant suggestions, and explained traditions and details that are hard to find online. The hotel restaurant itself was good, and the buffet was very tasty. However, the only disappointing part was the attitude of some of the girls working in the restaurant. A few times they seemed unfriendly and impatient, and looked at us as if we were doing something wrong. As visitors, we may not always know local customs, but we would expect more kindness and understanding. After two or three uncomfortable experiences, we stopped eating there and chose other restaurants. I hope the hotel management speaks with the restaurant staff and helps them become more welcoming and professional. This was the only negative point in an otherwise beautiful and high-quality hotel experience."

"Beautiful property with large comfortable rooms and plenty of storage. Everyone who works there was friendly and helpful - whether at the front desk, pool, restaurants or spa, the service is terrific. There are several options for food and drink (restaurants, bars, poolside) with different menus at each, and the food and drink at all is very good."
