Recently remodeled motel that was everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The room was clean and the property was welcome and inviting. It is located just far enough off the IH so that noise is not an issue but close enough for easy access to wherever you need to go. We originally booked for Thursday and Friday night but were not able to make it in on Thursday. Jay held our room for us and we were able to add another night to our stay with no problems or issues. It looks like someone has put effort into repainting, updating furniture, and freshening up the overall appearance. While the improvements definitely help, it is still an older property with thin walls and the typical structure of an older motel. Our stay was not bad overall. The room was decently clean and the towels were clean and fresh. The two beds had different sets of sheets, but both appeared freshly laundered, so that was not an issue. The parking lot was full of what looked like well maintained vehicles, and we were able to park very close to our room, which was convenient. The biggest challenge for us was the noise. The walls are very thin. The guest in the room next to us was coughing and snoring throughout the night, and it honestly sounded like he was in the room with us. That made it difficult to sleep comfortably. If I were in a tight spot, I would stay here again, but it would not be my first choice. Nice updated decor, had trouble regulating the dial AC/heater unit so it was too warm in the room, but it ran very quietly. Extremely well lit outside, so the room was at best dim during the night, so bring a sleeping mask if you need it dark. I was very surprised at how nice my room was. Looked like recent renovation. Nice clean room. Fluffy pillows. Hotel is remote and quiet. There was no remote for the TV. The bed that was to be a king size was actually a full-size bed. The air did not work efficiently and made a loud noise when running. The room I was given was located near another room that the staff/family used to live in with people coming and going slamming the door all night and knocking on the door and walls. The pictures shown on the website are not accurate. I paid for 2 nights but left after the first night.
