"Room was very clean and lovely. I realize we are close to the parking and lights are required for safely just wish I could dim them but that’s on me for not being able to sleep in the lighted room. Staff were exceptional. Above and beyond our expectations. Breakfast. One of the best I have ever had and loved the quaint room."

"The property is ideally situated between Sydney and Louisbourg with a short trip to each. Fort Louisbourg is a must to see. The view from inside the house and from the spaceous deck is fabulous. The house itself is new and modern and well constructed and very private. I was a little disappointed that the beaches to the north were more difficult to get to because the bridge was out. However, the beach to the south was just as few minutes away with good sand, a walkway that made access to the beach with a walker easily accessible and quite private. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the deck with no bugs - something we couldn't do at other places on Cape Breton."

"The house and property were beautiful and provided a perfect accommodation for our stay on the Mira. Communication with the host was excellent and the usage instructions were thorough and very much appreciated. We had a dog with us who loved the expansive lawn and beach. We now have a full understanding of the lyrics of “Out on the Mira”. Thank you!!"

"The waterfront with gazebo, paddle boat, canoe and sitting area are the main attraction at this basement suite. Unfortunately, we were rained out for 3 full days and spent our time inside, so offer that perspective. The kitchen is well-equipped. WIFI is good. We found the seating (1 love seat, 3 backless kitchen stools) somewhat uncomfortable for long periods of sitting (to read, for example). Upstairs noise is easily heard downstairs (footsteps, TV, vacuuming, flushing toilet drains). Washer and dryer are appreciated but these are setup in the kitchen. A full mattress is also stored in the kitchen. A TV screen would be most helpful for rainy days. The hosts are friendly and were responsive to a water leak. Games, puzzles and books are provided. Recommended for sunny stays."

"We had a great, albeit short (one-night) stay. All arrangement with the host were great. Accommodations were nice. The highlight was the pool which was lovely and much enjoyed."
