Communication with the owner before and during our stay was prompt and comprehensive, and arrival and check-out was a breeze. The furnishings are basic, but we had everything we needed for our stay and overall the the house was very clean and tidy. The 4 separate bedrooms worked perfectly for our group of 4 adults, and there was plenty of space to spread out both inside and outside. We were hoping to use the gas fireplace, as it was extremely cold the evening we arrived, but were told that it was not operational. It took about several hours for the furnace to warm the house from 42 to 67 - we ended up eating dinner in our winter coats and hats and going to bed in several layers of clothes! This was really a freak anomaly, as the Dallas area was experiencing one of those 'polar vortex's' during our stay, but if there had been any young children in our group it would have been a pretty miserable start to the trip. (The cold didn't really affect the rest of our trip - we ended up doing some cold plunges in the outdoor pool the next few days! :) All in all though, we had enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to stay again in the future. ##### Paul F. Everything in the house was clean and orderly, my only gripe with the property is the quality of linens and other small accoutrements.
