Spacious 2 bedroom with full kitchen . Air conditioning not operational horribly hot in suite Couch was worn out extremely uncomfortable . No pool no gym . Tvs in room old not smart tv in main area . Did try to transfer to different unit that couch also worn out very uncomfortable and air conditioning that suite also non operational .

My experience at the Podollan Rez-idence
Rez-idence is a detached building a block away from the Main building so for the check-in/out and buffet breakfast you have to walk, which I found it inconvenient. The hotel is old so the furniture is not in great shape. I did not have towels the 1st day so I had to call upon. Buffet Hot Breakfast is really good. Underground heating parking is also a good feature.

Not worth the money!
There was no shower head installed on the shower? A/C didn’t work at all. Carpet in the unit was coming up creating a large trip hazard. Underground parking was out of service and had to carry baggage long ways and upstairs to enter building across broken uneven cement.

Location near downtown Ft. McMurray is convenient. Suite did not look like the photos on expedia. Different layout that did not fit the purpose I got it for. Air conditioning was not operational. Portable air brought in for rooms. This made rooms livable, but management needs to do better maintenance of facility.

At least Boston pizza was close
Check in at one building then walk a block to another where my room was... and both buildings had a weird rotting fruit smell to them... once I got in the room though they were alright... light flickered like crazy once you turned them on but they steadied.... oh and the cigarette butt collector was on fire when I walked up to the front door of the hotel so that was an added bonus...

It was good couple things we’re broke in the room, the one closet door was just set in place, everything else was good. Like the layout and size of room. Full size fridge was nice as well

The unit we were in had very poor maintenance. The door to a closet was off its track and fell inward. The blinds in bot bedrooms had slates missing. The dishes supplied were inadequate.

Another great stay at a Podollan Hotel
Check in at the Inn was easy, then a quick drive over to the Rez-idence where we had secure underground parking. The room was fabulous! Beds were super comfortable, which is always the case with Podollan. Suite was huge and has everything u could need for ur stay, including cookware and dishes. They were very accommodating to my service dog. The electric fireplace wasn’t working but I let front desk know. We also couldn’t get a tv to work in one of the bedrooms, but not a big deal because there are 3 in the suite. It’s located downtown, so easy to walk to businesses and restaurants. U wouldn’t know ur staying in busy downtown as the suites are very sound proofed and even though there isn’t blackout curtains, the blinds do offer a lot of darkness when closed. The Podollan never disappoints! Staff are amazing!

Love The kitchen size 👍 Breakfast is Not in The same Building. Snowing outside and it’s very inconvenient to Go Podollan Inn just to have bfast :( Heater is inside of one room that’s why it’s so cold on The other one and also in The living room :( Cart For our stuff is so dirty :( Too pricy For The room :(

Not impressed at all!!
This is borderline the worst hotel I have stayed in. I will not return here. Check in is a block away, one way streets and alleys to get there. Good thing I ignored google maps because it was yes to take me a other bridge tot turn around and come back (14 mindrive) just to get in here!!! Once I found my way over I saw an employee who said I had to check in at the second location! Not impressed. Wifi didn’t work, Online pics are deceiving!! The living room kitchen area is a boxes in area with no windows!!! So hot in there (they do supply a window air conditioning machine, but who wants to set that all up. In the morning when we opened the blinds there were a pile of dead bugs in the window ledge.....barf they looked like u know what, but we were done our stay at this time. We did not eat the breakfast cause again we Would have had to travel to the other building. I only chose this place because it had 2 bedrooms and there were 4 of us. I’ll stay st the Clearwater next time Way nicer! Podollan rez was way over priced! It’s dark, hot, unstaffed, old furniture, and our bed we ended up rolling together in the middle. .

We sent out letters to our guests that will be staying at the Podollan Rez in regards to the check in process as well as all information including breakfast location for POdollan Rezidence guests, if you have not received this prior to your arrival we do apologize. I will look into this and make sure it does not happen again. All our hotel rooms at the Podollan Rezidence are laid out differently. Once booked, our system automatically assigns a room to our hotel guests. We would have been happy to moved you to a different room if you would have told us this after checking in. however, we do apologize in regards to this. We have looked into the rooms and the bugs that you have found are not what you think they are. we have investigated on this and have talked to the housekeeping team to ensure all rooms are properly clean and up to our hotel standards. We understand your comments in regards to other hotels in town however we do hope that you give us another chance and we will make sure the next stay will be better than the next. Thank you for your time. We hope to see you again soon.

You have a full kitchen unit room, with no frying pans, one very old worn out pot. Everytime you flushed the toilet it would make very loud noise. When are the Podollan Inn going to renovate these rooms!

Great proximity but a little noisy
The hotel was clean and comfortable. They should state that the room may slightly differ from the images shown. In the advertising they show a large living room area which was not the exact depiction, but overall a nice place to stay.

Would try a different hotel for suite accomodation
The hotel is in some serious need of updating and attention. The hall floors are stained and wore down, the lighting is dim and the decor outdated. You need to go to the hotel down the road to register and for breakfast as well. On the plus side, the hotel room was clean, bed was very comfortable and quiet.

BED BUG WARNING
This place had bed bugs! Our guys were working a night shift and just returned to the hotel. Our guys noticed the bed bugs went to the office and asked to be switched. The lady gave them attitude about it. Our first time there was perfect but this time makes us never want to go there again. Wont recommend this to anyone!

Thank you for the feedback. In the hotel industry we do not take this subject lightly and are forced to take all the necessary precautions we can to ensure this does not happen. Your claim was immediately dealt with, the guest services agent would not normally move a guest until the room in question and guests belongings are inspected. However in this case she moved you at your request. The room and adjacent rooms were blocked, inspected by both internal employees and qualified external pest control and there was absolutely no sign of bed bugs. We do not know what you had seen, however we are confident and pleased that there were no signs present. All necessary precautions were taken in regards to room, furniture, and bedding. Interior much better than exterior
The hotel does not look like much from the outside and it is located right beside the major highway. However we were able to keep most of the noise out by keeping the windows closed. The three separate bedrooms and main living room was perfect for having multiple generations staying in one hotel. It felt more like a ski chalet than a hotel. The full kitchen also gave us an opportunity to cook some meals "at home" as opposed to eating out the whole trip. The staff were excellent.

Once we got non feather blankets foe our room( Im very allergic to feathers all was well) the toilet did run if we didn't lift the float which was very annoying but the kitchen space was awesome, loved how close it was to MacDonald Island.

Really bad weekend in this hotal I book a suite for comfert but staff give me a rood just corner oh hwy 63 too much traffic noice all night I talk to them and they promise me to change the suite next day but no one call or show up there.
