"Great hotel for the most part and right across the street from the basketball tournament arena we were playing at. The balcony off our room felt a little unsafe and old. But we enjoyed our stay. "

"This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. The staff were rude. The hallways had carpet that smelled very bad and looked very dirty. The room smelled very bad with cigarette and bathroom smell. The toilet had poop marks inside the bowl. There was hair on the bathroom floor. It looked like it had not been cleaned. The bed was very uncomfortable and one could feel the springs in the mattress. Because it was Kentucky derby weekend we paid $350 for a room that costs less than $80 in general. Finally we could not stand the room anymore and decided to checkout 3 hours after we checked in. The manager did not even ask why we were leaving so soon. When I told him that the room was dirty and smelly he did not even apologize. He said in a rude tone, do you want another room? I asked for money back and he refused. We ended up going to a different hotel."

"Breakfast subpar. Hot items were barely luke warm. Juice and milk were room temp. They were in nice pourable pitchers, but no way to keep cool/cold. Coffee was hot, and nice, however nothing fancy. There wasn't any fresh fruit. Door lock did not work, telling front staff when we left. Didn't seem the least concern. High security/safety risk for guest. Reading reviews, dont have high hopes of it getting fixed. Looking forward to my "Thank You for Staying"."

"Oh my goodness! This place is absolutely wonderful. The prices are great, the rooms are clean, and it’s conveniently located near shopping, food, and other amenities. But what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service provided by Charles, the front desk staff. He made our entire trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Charles and Kyle are simply the reason why Holiday Inn has become the top hotel on our list. Thank you, Charles, for being truly the best! "
