The property’s sprawling grounds are perfect for gathering together, with a lush green hybrid Bermuda lawn and expansive back patio. Fire up the BBQ in your own backyard, or go for a swim in the private solar-heated pool. The pool is surrounded by childproof safety fencing. Set on a secluded lot adjacent to an avocado orchard, farms, and a tree nursery, the home is a short walk from fresh produce at the local seasonal farmstand. Plus, the area has many popular wedding venues. ABOUT THE HOME A wood-burning fireplace adds warm ambience in the family room area, where a sofa and armchairs seat eight. Settle in for movie nights on the 55” flat-screen TV with Blu-ray player. Just off this area is a full bathroom with tub/shower combination. The formal living room area features warm wood tones, a wood-burning fireplace, and seating for six. Catch up over cocktails, or play a tune on the baby grand piano. Whip up family meals in the all-white kitchen, featuring a breakfast table for six and center island seating for two. Gather at the 10-person dining table, or get cooking in the home’s outdoor kitchen with prep sink, gas range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and gas grill. The expansive patio offers plenty of space to dine alfresco. The backyard is also equipped with a half bath and an outdoor shower. Drift to sleep in five spacious bedrooms, including a master suite with a king bed. Select a book from the library, or catch shows on the 32” flat-screen TV. The en-suite bathroom is configured with a double vanity, soaking tub, and walk-in shower. The second and third bedrooms each offer two twin beds and share a guest bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The fourth bedroom boasts a king-size bed and a flat-screen TV. The fifth bedroom features a queen-size bed and handsome wood furnishings. There is a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a double vanity and tub/shower combination between the fourth and fifth bedrooms. EXTRA AMENITIES & MORE DETAILS Driveway parking is available for four vehicles, with two additional spaces reserved on the street. A washer/dryer and complimentary Wi-Fi are provided. Please note there is a detached building/Exercise room in the backyard that the homeowner may utilize during your stay. The entrance door to the building is outside of the rented guest area and not visible. This property is conveniently located next to the highway; road noise may be heard during your stay. The solar-heated pool is available, but cold during the winter months. We recently added childproof fencing around the swimming pool. A 12’x 14’ cedar gazebo provides shade near the pool. For safety reasons, the upstairs balcony is unavailable to guests and cannot be accessed. Access to your professionally cleaned, sanitized home is convenient. All properties have on-site devices for your security – these may include security alarms, and exterior motion sensors or cameras. The house is immaculate, feels like a mansion and a cozy cottage at the same time. The yard and pool were so wonderful to enjoy, and Shelley was so kind, so helpful and so hospitable. From the moment we booked this beautiful home until the day we checked out, Shelly was professional and communicative during the whole process! Our multigenerational family had a wonderful time making memories while cookie decorating, puzzling and enjoying the gorgeous yard! The whole house was so clean and the beds were very comfortable! The family room space was perfect for enjoying time together and the living room was used for piano playing of Christmas carols. Many mornings were enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch enjoying the sun! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Clark and Shelly and will be back to enjoy their home and the town of Fillmore! ##### Debbie T. We love the pool, summer kitchen outside, plenty of seating, good laundry machines... A/c works well even in extreme heat, appliances work, linens are clean. The hosts were accommodating and so friendly. They even let our grandchildren pick some fresh fruit from their orchard. The house and amenities were perfect. Everything was just as described. There was nothing missing - a beautiful location, stunning home, comfy bed, incredibly huge lawn that my dogs never wanted to leave, perfect location for why we were in town, yummy strawberries and oranges at the nearby fruit stand, kind, helpful and responsive host...and I could go on and on and on. The house was large enough for nine adults to comfortably stay with plenty of privacy and areas for groups activities. Everything in the house is designed for comfort and relaxing. Shelly is so welcoming and was available to answer any questions. The grounds are immaculate and there are even outdoor games provided. Nice property next to a tree farm and nearby river. The house is classic with a really great outdoors set up. Loved the pool and played a surprising amount of croquet and footfall toss on the big lawn. For cooking it was well set up looked really good for grilling though we didn't do as much. The best part was the hosts who deserve 5+ stars. As an example they loaned us some welding helmets for the annular eclipse that was happening, dealt with plumbing problem inside a 1/2 hour and we're overall very knowledgeable of the local area which was great. Our wedding was in Moorpark which is 12 miles but over a windy pass. Nothing special by Colorado standards but not a standard trip just FYI. Would lve to stay again someday. ##### Eric K. It was clean, spacious and has everything you can think of. The pool is great and so is the outdoor kitchen, a/c is a plus in the summer too. We just love coming here. It’s so tranquil and such a quick drive up from Los Angeles. I feel like we’re in another world on the farm. Our dogs just love to run around outside and swim in the pool and we love how big and private the property is. The house is sparkling clean with a fully stocked kitchen with everything you would need, including soft comfy towels in the bathrooms, a great movie selection, and all the modern amenities. We love the extra outdoor kitchen, so we can barbecue while hanging outside all day. The views of the mountains, especially in the morning as the fog is lifting, is just beautiful. Nothing better than walking outside with a cup of coffee when it’s still dewy and brisk while staring at all the natural beauty. We just love coming to the Fillmore house and can’t wait to visit again next year! Shelley is truly the kindest and easiest person to deal with.
