Great stay at Blue Bird Meadows

A very nicely accommodated property set in a peaceful area. Pool was a life saver for us with the weather temps. Very much enjoyed the stay.

Perfect for girls’ trip!

Plenty of common spaces for hanging out and spacious bedrooms for quiet time. Pool and hot tub have awesome views. Loved it!

Family friendly

We came with our whole family for a family vacation. We definitely enjoyed our time there even with three toddlers. The property is well cleaned and taken care of. My toddler’s favorite things to do during our stay was saying hi to the pony every morning, swimming, and playing with the neighbor dogs outside.

Great stay!

Beautiful clean house - responsive owners. Our children loved visiting the animals nearby. Quick drive to nearby state parks - Elephant Rock State Park is worth visiting to explore.

Week Long Getaway

We traveled here for a week long stay. We had 6 adults and one child. The property was just as listed and everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We made most our meals and the kitchen was stocked appropriately. Linda was an excellent host and responded very quickly to our questions/concerns.

Great Weekend Getaway

We had planned a weekend of hiking nearby with our adult kids and their spouses and this house was the perfect place to stay. It had everything we needed - comfortable beds, plenty of room, great kitchen, lovely location and a hot tub to ease those sore muscles. Very peaceful and quiet too. Our host was prompt to reply and very helpful. Would stay here again.

Great Time

Fun decor, comfy beds, great outdoor area. It had everything we needed and more. Even though we wanted to enjoy the pool for a few more hours, Mother Nature had other ideas and it rained one afternoon, however we were able to play cornhole in the garage. We had a great time!

Just what we needed....

We loved our stay! The house was perfect - very clean, spacious and comfortable. Children loved the pool and there is a lovely sitting area around the pool. Great communication. Location was not quite as remote as we had imagined as it sits on the very front of the property along a road, but it still worked out well - very quiet and conveniently located to so many great state parks to explore.

Fabulous Country Retreat with Pool!

We booked Bluebird Meadows for a family vacation with our three adult kids, son-in-law and two granddaughters. The property is beautiful, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Lots of fun activities nearby; Johnson's Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks, Castor River Shut-ins, Tiemann Shut-Ins and Millstream Gardens, St. Joe State Park, and more. We really enjoyed the in-ground pool and hot tub. The kitchen was well-appointed, and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. We loved watching their Dexter cattle and watching deer on the acreage. We definitely recommend Bluebird Meadows!

Wonderful secluded getaway

We had an amazing stay. The house was perfect for our needs, plenty of beds and extra space for a large family. The pool area was inviting and would have spent a lot of time there if we hadn't come in the winter. Instead we spent a lot of time walking through the 100 acres and petting/feeding the animals. Owners were wonderful as well, great communication and very friendly. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay here again!

Sibling Weekend

We stayed for the weekend for a sibling get together! The house is beautiful! The hostess is awesome! Quick responses to my questions! We had a great, relaxing weekend! Only recommendation I would have is to have the pool and hot tub more handicap friendly. Otherwise great place. Will definitely consider staying here again! Thank you so much!!

This home and location was perfect for our group of women. Loved the pool and the beds were so comfortable . The house was stocked with plenty of supplies. The only suggestions are better quality TP and more silverware!!

Family Summer Getaway

We enjoyed our family vacation at Bluebird Meadows. The kids loved the pool. Hot tub was very nice and clean. The home is very clean & well stocked with paper towels, toiletries, spices, coffee etc. We did not have any issues with the property during our stay. We enjoyed Elephant Rock, Bonne Terre Mine and Johnson Shut-ins while we were there.

Wonderful

The House was beautiful and as pictured. It was a perfect place to stay and use as home base for the hiking we did in the area. We went to Elephant Rock, Taum Sauk Mountain/Waterfall, and Johnson Shut Ins all within a short driving distance. My family enjoyed the pool and Hot Tub after our hikes! Close to Farmington which has many stores and restaurants. The owner’s dog blue is so sweet! We will definitely be back!

Great "girls getaway"

Beautiful property, well equipped kitchen, close to a convenience store to get ice and any additional items needed. Our group of six had the company of the property owners adorable dog. The night sky was filled with stars and the firepit made it even better. Thank you so much for sharing your home. We would love to come back next year!

Cousin Fun

Spent a long weekend with sisters and cousins. Couldn’t ask for a better place to relax and enjoy the peaceful quiet surroundings. I have never stayed at a place that provided so many extras in the bathrooms and kitchen. We spent time relaxing around and in the pool, gathered around the dining table playing games and sitting in the spacious living room watching TV. Have it already marked as a repeat house for our annual cousins get together.
