Property is in a good location, very quiet and lots of space. Rooms are all doubles and en suite. The shared spaces are large and plentiful. Lots of butterflies and lizards just outside the door which was lovely. The river is very close by and swimming in there was great. We had a problem with lots of flies at the property which was difficult as we had to keep the windows and doors open to keep the airflow through the property, it was heating up quickly in the hot weather. Nothing really to be done about it but just to mention.Some of the bathrooms were quite tired and a couple seemed to have been leaking into the rooms below. They were clean though. The kitchen is beautiful and large, the table is a very good size for everyone to sit around. We did clean half way through the week to see if that would help with the flies, there were some areas which were perhaps missed on a couple of previous cleans but nothing too bad. All in all, if you want time away with friends or family with lots of indoor and outdoor space this is a good affordable option. The owners were very good in all their communications. It just stunning! Beautiful lake and surrounding area with plenty of other breathtaking places to visit. However the lodge we had did have a problem with hot water when we first arrived but was quickly resolved. The main issue was our cabin ( it had extremely creaky floors!) this wasn’t a problem in itself. However if you had to get up during the night you’d wake up the other people you are staying with. Additionally communication with staff was difficult due to the language barrier when trying to sort problems out with the staff however they were very patient and polite. They had plenty of activities to do on site. One thing I would offer that’s not provided is basic amenities such as tea and coffee especially if you’ve travelled a long way to the site (even if you paid extra for it) otherwise very clean and tidy accommodation and again absolutely breathtakingly beautiful!
