Lovely swimming pool. 7/29/2023 at 6:55 PM The home was even better the second stay. This is our second, but not our last stay at this property. We will be renting it again in 2024\. The home was clean and even nicer this year with new 5 inch wide wooden plank flooring and new appliances, including a new huge capacity Maytag washing machine. Being on the shuttle inside resort was more than convenient. Highly recommend this home. 5 Star Arrival date: 1/14/23 This home was a home away from our homes. The house was big enough for our 19 family members. The younger kids loved the hot tub and area pool. The location was perfect to so many restaurants, hiking and shopping. It was a wonderful time for our family. If we ever do this again I would rent this home again. 10/2022 = 5 STAR Patricia I can’t say enough about the house. It was warm and welcoming.. little nooks that you could always find some solitude. We were 16 adults college age and a baby and an 8 yr old. We were never bumping into each other. The kitchen was very large and more than adequately equipped. John July 2019 Bjs mountain lodge was exactly what our family needed for our yearly reunion. There were 18 of us staying in the house, with room for visitors during meal times. We made great use of the large kitchen and patio and enjoyed the proximity to Vail and Avon. The home has a huge bedroom with lots of beds that we were able to put all the kids into for the week. Paul said: ""This was a great place for 18 family members , from 2 yo to 64 . The whole place is got so many different areas to hang out in , front garden , pool table rumpus room , dining area are all great , but we were able to take advantage of the huge deck most of the waking hours . Would definitely recommend this property either for summer or winter stays." The home was clean and organized, with a terrific layout and accommodations for large groups. The huge deck with scenic view was a really special gathering place for meals, games, and conversations. The deck has a private hot tub, new deck furniture, and a top of the line Weber grill. The scores of trees and landscaping around the home provided a private enclave with a comfortable distance from neighbors. We enjoyed both gourmet and value oriented restaurants nearby, the convenience to nearby shopping, and the close proximity to golf, horse back riding, outdoor and indoor concerts, river rafting, biking, hiking, and the tennis and pickle ball courts, which are adjacent to the home. Considering how close the home is to the ski lift, we look forward to a return to the home for the convenience of the free ski shuttle directly from the home to the lift this winter." Perfect location near the ski slopes, golf courses, fishing, hiking, biking, and all the other wonderful things you can do in the Colorado mountains year-round. Gated community, close to groceries, restaurants, bars, coffee and other services. The house itself is very large, clean, modern, and well-appointed. Lots of beds for the whole group. Owner/manager was responsive and great to work with too." My Response The nice comments included by the coordinator of this large group are greatly appreciated, as their stay at the home was one of the first experiences by this group at a home. The coordinator is entrusted with making an appropriate home choice to satisfy the ideals of many personalities in a large group, so every attempt is made by the home owner/manager during the reservation process to address all concerns of a prospective guest. In this case, in addition to the comfort of the accommodations for their large group, the coordinator for this group of guests wanted to confirm that the home had sufficient privacy on the huge deck for the hot tub, so that the group could relax after long days on the many golf courses nearby. In addition, the group wanted convenience to shopping and to the amenities in the area. They also wanted a nice new grill on the deck, and a regulation sized pool table in the den. This group felt that all of their expectations were met. The group left the home in good condition, and is welcome to come back to the home at any time in the future. Adam said. "July week long stay was great" Richard said: "Overall very nice for large family get together. We had four families stay here and had two other houses for the remaining 10 families. Great area to stay watched the July 3 fireworks from the golf course and it was excellent." Dennis said: Thank you. Only 4 of our group of 27 persons are at your home today, as the rest of the group went on a hike to the falls. This is a great home! Ginny said: "Hi, I wanted you to know that your house worked out beautifully for us. The tennis courts right next to the home were wonderful. And thanks for letting us know about the breakfast on July 4th - it was delicious. We enjoyed the fireworks at Avon on July 3rd and at Beaver Creek on the 4th. Plenty of room for us to spread out. The shuttle bus service stopping at the house made getting to and from the slopes so convenient. This is the 4th time we have stayed at this house. Great location. House is in a fantastic location to explore Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen. Close to Avon and Edwards. Beautiful private neighborhood. The house could use some serious decluttering! Too much stuff in the bedrooms and too many items in the kitchen when you opened up a door. Clean out some of the items and make them more organized for a VRBO stay.We had to remove pictures (way too many personal photos) from a table in the bedroom so we could do a couple zoom calls in a private room. Just too much stuff in my opinion for a VRBO. Prefer a more staged experience for this much cash. Again, great location...remove some of the clutter for a better experience. ##### James S. We had tons of space, plenty of activities to do, and the kitchen was able to handle prepping and feeding everyone. The pool was close by and nice to have in the summer. We were even able to get groceries delivered to the house. The house had some quirks as all rentals do, and directions for some things like the A/C and the pool entrance were not correct. But overall this place worked out well. Be aware that if you have more than 18 people there is a charge per person. It did mention an extra charge per person in the listing, but it did not mention at what point it was considered extra people. For the price and location, we would definitely use this house again. ##### Faith J. The house easily accommodated our party with many possible configurations, and the bunk room and pool table were a big hit with the kids! We all really enjoyed the quiet and convenience of Arrowhead - including the shuttle to the Arrowhead lift, which was not crowded and provided easy access to Beaver Creek for ski school. The ability to house 16 adults in one house for a golf trip was fantastic. While the bedrooms were packed, there was lots of living space upstairs in the kitchen, dining and living room areas. For a summer visit, the large back deck (with hot tub) was awesome and tennis/pickleball access was right next to the house. Communication with the property manager was excellent and timely. As other reviews state, there are a lot of knick knacks. That would be my one recommendation...to clear some of the surfaces...but the house is in good shape, clean, and functionally excellent (especially if you had kids/families). It would also have been helpful to have an actual floorplan up front as our group assigns rooms due to one member having mobility issues. We had an issue with a tv remote and the owner was quick to respond and work through the problem. There was plenty of hot water, even when several folks were showering. We entered through the garage which was cluttered with all sorts of the owner's personal belongings, so much so that you could not park your car in there. The house was as it looks on line except you could quickly notice the lack of cleanliness. It just looked like it needed a good deep cleaning and some attention to details. We noticed spider webs and a few spiders in the bathrooms, the dishes and silverware needed washing or rewashing before we could use it, and there was pet hair in many places so much that our eight year old grandson got sick the first night. He and his family ended up having to relocate to a different house after that first night. The other reason they did this was they just were not comfortable with the level of uncleanliness there. My wife and I have owned a place there in Arrowhead and we rent it out quite a bit through VRBO so we are familiar with the standards and levels of expectation of renters there. This place was a disappointment in a number of ways, in addition to those mentioned here. I feel that due to the lack of cleanliness, the pet hair problems. and one of our families having to relocate we should be reimbursed for the cost of their relocation over six nights. Please let me know your thoughts on that. ##### Larry G.
