Inside was very clean with spacious bedrooms. Bathrooms are "city" small/tight. Outside front entrance was a bit messy on arrival which was disappointing. We were told we could not check in early because of cleaning crew yet it didn't look like they were recently there. This property was fantastic. Clean, well maintained, the interior is large and comfortable. The kitchen is large and you could easily make meals if desired. It is very clean, comfortable & well-equipped. The flat is spacious, yet has a very traditional feel, which I liked. The area is residential & quiet. We were entertained by grey squirrels (which I actually consider to be vermin! I'm a red squirrel fan!) running along the top of the wall, outside of the kitchen window. Being in Leith, it's close to every sort of amenity you might want - good restaurants, theatres, bars, cinemas & pubs. Fans of Rebus will appreciate the proximity to Gayfield Square police HQ. Parking is free outside the property & Kay's Cabs are quick & reliable transport to locations not within walking distance - like Mother India Cafe in Infirmary Street, where the food is just divine. The flat is about 1.5 miles from Holyrood & the Scottish Parliament - worth a visit. Getting back to the accomodation, the beds were super-comfortable, and we had a great nights sleep.
